Reduce that coffee, it is a diuretic so will make you go to the loo more. So even though your water intake isn't bad all the coffee will help flush it out. It is why my team say to get off the coffee, I have no more than 300ml over an entire day (10 fl oz).

Just keep a large drink bottle with you and sip constantly. I have mine glued to me 24/7. You can either stay overweight and in pain or push through it whilst you lose weight from bari surgery and get your hip fixed. The weight loss will reduce the pressure on your hip too so it should get a bit easier pain wise as the weight reduces.

Are you hitting your daily protein targets? -
Almost 2 years post op - Starting to gain little bits at a time
Bastian replied to Nomanativ's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You need a plan of action, now. Start tracking your food, choose healthy lower calorie foods or low carb foods if you are doing LCHF/keto and exercise. Better to put a bit of effort in now rather than need a LOT of effort later on plus the beating yourself up over not maintaining. Good luck, you CAN do it and there is SO much support and info on here to help you. -
haha yes I never had much of a butt but I had forgotten quite how boney it is without the excess, I have to reposition myself if I'm on hard chairs to try and get the right, most padded spot!

Worth mentioning it to your team because sometimes after surgery the thyroid can go loopy which would make you cold, BUT you have lost 40lbs of heat holding insulation too. Last winter here in UK I slept with a t-shirt and summer quilt on allllllllllll winter and I would moan at the husband and kiddo for turning the heatin up. WELL, this winter I am in bed with a 10.5 tog quilt on, nighty, pj bottoms AND a hoddie haha and the heating is set to 20 degrees c, where as last year I moaned when it was 17-18c!!

When you are craving how about a protein bar ? that way you get a 'sweet' hit but fill up on protein.
-
Have you tried any sweet stuff? I couldn't stand it! Now I crave really salty strong flavoured things and pickle juice!

Picking a goal weight...Psychiatrist worried
Bastian replied to Briswife15's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Just my 2 cents but she obviously has no idea what your BMI is and I'm wondering if because you lost the weight quickly in her mind you have lost too much because you have shrunk so much in between the times she has seen you? I'm 5 foot 10 and 147lb/63-65kg was my ideal weight, no one ever said I was too thin, which is what makes me wonder if her view of you is skewed because in her mind you are much heavier? Funny that I am now 178lbs and people keep telling me I am 'tiny' (compared to 4 months ago), well the people that don't see me regular;y tell me I'm tiny because I look so different each time they see me. Deffo see what the bariatric team say they would be more clued up on the weight and leave the head stuff to the psychiatrist. YOu are doing really well x -
Once you are on solids it might be fine BUT like others have said try it at home first. I remember reading here about people struggling with chicken and I was like 'ooh weird, I won't though'. You guessed it the first time I had chicken breast it got stuck, 2nd time it got stuck and that was chewing it to nothing with gravy so I then decided to try thigh meat instead and it was fine. Always try new foods at home first tho coz you don't want to be ill when you are out working

I feel so stupid right now....
Bastian replied to RaeSavage's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Perfectly normal hun, don't feel bad about feeling bad. This is a huge change so mourning the loss of what you knew is pretty healthy behaviour, as long as you think it through, understand why you feel this way then focus on moving forward. xx -
it's deffo not a fetish LOL but it is satisfying doing it, especially if I can do it without causing pain high 5 myself at the end lol

Can I take Fybogel 4 months post op?
Bastian replied to PEGGO's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm not sure it's the best thing as if you don't take it with enough water it'll kind of solidify. Def check with your team, if it is for your bowels you would be better off with Movicol. -
What were your pregnancy signs??
Bastian replied to xxjosettexx's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
It varies with everyone and sore boobs will be sore even if they have changed due to weight loss etc. You can do a test it'll give you a result already. I had unbearably sore boobs, extreme tiredness then at 7 weeks BAM! nausea 24/7 Good luck xx -

Eating a tiny sandwhich, yay or nay?
Bastian replied to DeadSpaceGrave's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am having toast maybe twice a week, BUT my dietician has told me to have it due to issues I'm having. Absolutely do what everyone has suggested and stick to the diet plan your team gave you or you are just setting yourself up to fail you know? -
pah ha glad it's not just me, there is something really satisfying about it, although i like taking stitches out too...
