  1. A year after I had my sleeve surgery I had a tummy tuck. I am praying that when I lose weight this time I will bounce back somewhat. Anyone with this experience? Thanks!
  2. In 1998 after my "sleeve" surgery I began walking a mile in the morning and a mile in the evening. When given the go ahead to do more I got some Richard Simmons DVD's and did one daily. I dropped 100 pounds in 6 months. I know to avoid loose skin it is important to do strength training. Best of luck! +
  3. Welcome and the best of luck!
  4. Wow, we are both in the same boat!
  5. Thanks! I called the the day I got home from the EGD and thye told me I had to wait for them, sigh! I will call them tomorrow!
  6. I quit finally for good 2 years ago.
  7. Yes, it was 1998. So much has changed
  8. I had my EGD on July 9th and still have not heard back from the surgeon, or the office. I do know the results of the EGD and he plans on fixing that, but I not sure if he means a Gastric Bypass or just to repair the fistula he found. How long should I wait to call into the office? Lynda
  9. I did that first time, but they never told me to stop.
  10. bmore4peace, That is how it went for me, it was miserable and oh the heartburn. Afterwards they told me that I make a lot of acid. You think?
  11. I am in the same spot. I run and office and they fall apart when I am not there. Following your post!
  12. I am not sure if these are weird..... I just want to feel good again I want to fit into the smaller clothes I have been hanging onto for years! I want to feel like no one is staring at my fatness I want to be pain free (my joints are a mess) I want to be able to go farther on the Tandem bike my hubby just bought. I want to be able to garden pain free I want to be able to keep up with everyone
  13. Sending healing vibes!
  14. For the longest time after my vbg I would still end up looking at my previous bigger size, it seemed to take a long time to get in the right frame of mind. One thing I am lucky about is that I saved all my cute smaller clothes and look forward to getting back into them!
  15. I just found out yesterday that I have a gastrogastric fistula. What are your experiences with this? Thanks, Lynda
  16. Yes I had a VBG in 1998 and I went from 302 to 155 in just under a year. But I have had severe reflux since 6 weeks after surgery. I check on my procedure yesterday and the notes say I have a Gastrogastric fistula, so I know I will have surgery now I just hope it will be done laparoscopic. Last time it was open and oh the pain!
  17. Thanks so much for your answer! I sure wasn't coming up with anything myself, and what you say makes sense. I will post again when I have more info. Thanks!
  18. Yesterday I had my endoscopy and the Surgeon told my Husband that food was entering my stomach in 2 different ways, and that it could not be left that way. I haven't talked to the Dr himself yet, but am anxious to know what is going on. Has anyone had something like this? Thanks! Lynda
  19. Hello! Years ago I had one of these. It wasn't like a endoscopy for me, they did it while I was sitting up and wide awake. The tube and monitor went in my nose and I had to swallow it. But, they probably have a better way now. I could feel it, but you may not. Hope it goes well for you! Lynda
  20. Wow, you are just into this. Did they do the surgery laparoscopy or open. I am praying that mine will not be open!
  21. Can't wait to hear all about it! Best of luck! Lynda
  22. Thanks KCgirl061! I will definitely cut out sugary! In the recent past I did the Whole 30 diet, so I think cutting some things won't be too hard. I am already a pro at chewing my food as this surgery will be a revision from a VBG to bypass. Thanks, Lynda PS I live in Southern MO
  23. My surgery has not been scheduled yet but I was told by the nurse not to lose weight because I am so close to the lower limit. I started drinking more fluids got 50 ounces in yesterday so I am used to drinking. What diet can I follow with out losing weight. Thanks Lynda
