  1. I was diagnosed at 19 with arthritis. I have had both my thumbs replaced, and the normal injections here and there. No fun at all!

  3. The waiting is so hard! Mine took about 3 weeks to go through. (I have bcbs) How long has yours been pending? I hope you hear something soon!
  4. I am a bit worried about the pain also. This growing opioid crisis is really messing with people that actually need the medication! My surgery is the 16th Wishing you a wonderful journey!
  5. Hello! I had my sleeve 21 years ago and got out of the hospital 1 day before Thanksgiving. I am sure you will do fine with it. I am 54 and having a Bypass on the 16th. Wishing you the best on your journey!
  6. Mine is Sept. 16th. My LSD is for 3 days and is 5 to 6 shakes a day, depending on which shake variety I chose, I can also have other clear liquids and up to to large dill pickles a day.
  7. I will be getting a Gastric Bypass, I was told it could be an open surgery. I had that the first time and am praying I get laparoscopy this time! Thanks!
  8. So glad it went well for for you. I had a tummy tuck in early 2000. I wanted to get my thighs done and my boobs done, but insurance only approved my tummy tuck. The Dr said that when the remove skin from your upper thighs it can make you look "open for business" in the private area.

  11. I didn't have gerd until after my sleeve and pretty quickly after. I have been taking Omeprazole for as long as I can remember, but still had break through gerd. My surgery is Sept. 16th, getting here quickly! Thanks!
  12. Wow, this sounds terrible and I am sorry you are going though this. Just curious, what is this condition? Are you feeling any better with your weight loss? I am hoping that a lot of my pain goes away as I lose weight!
  13. I had my pre admission appointment yesterday and I am down to a BMI of 34.5. Arg! guess I will buy more ice cream after work today/ I just keep losing and I don't know why!
  14. After I lost weight with my sleeve I always found myself gravitating to the big girl clothes. I am not sure if it was just what I was used to or if my mind hadn't caught up with my weight loss!
  15. My surgery is 2 weeks from today, I only have a clear liquid diet for 3 days.

  17. I have heard people mention Gas X melting strips, but I cant find them anywhere even on the company website...
  18. I am a little anxious too. I just had my pre op physical today and Tuesday is my pre admission appointment. It is helping to have family here as i really helps pass the time quickly!

  20. I have a tip: Go to your local library and check out a few. I do this a lot because it is the only real way to preview and find a book I really want!
