Anyone have their gallbladder removed during surgery?
Lynda486 replied to jami.1992's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had no idea I had a gall bladder issue and it didn't show up on any previous tests, but when they got in there they said it was the size of a softball and took it out. -

I have rods and screws in my lumbar spine, I was fused in 2017. I didn't have any pain there or other problem areas, I must just be lucky! -

Super Bowl Sunday! What are you bringing?

I have been meaning to make deviled eggs, thanks! -
I have been walking on my treadmill this week and all of a sudden I have the worst shin splints! I didn't get them while walking outside. Anyone else have this problem and what did you do for it?

Yesterday I received a bill for my nutrition visits. Each at 118.00. I called the insurance first and they told me that they had used the wrong coding for it. They had it under treating hyper tension and not for weight loss surgery. I called the hospital billing and they are going to fix it. It is kind of frustrating, as I noticed that a lot of my surgery costs are still pending insurance at 4 months out!

Sore Muscles 3 weeks post op?
Lynda486 replied to breavsg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What I noticed was that I relied far more on my legs and butt to get me up and not my stomach muscles. I wonder if that could be it? -
I have had two bariatric surgeries and we will have our 28th anniversary on Feb 29th. I think it just depends on the people. I can see how if you do this together you would have more support, and a walking buddy. Change is hard, but doable!

A bill for the nutritionist
Lynda486 replied to Lynda486's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree! -
My nutritionist told me to just focus on water and protein and that would keep everything else in line. Sometimes my carbs get over 50 but not often....

I like Bae water. My favorite is the pineapple coconut!

I had a terrible time with gas, it was so painful to walk, but walking was the way out of the pain. I don't really have any advise ( I just suffered through it) but wanted to support you, hope it is better soon!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I would advise to stay busy, maybe get some walks in when you feel like eating off plan. Hugs
-
There is a surgery for that!

My thighs are so wrinkly and loose ick! I hope they tighten over time!

When my son was born with Spina Bifida he was put on Colace and Miralax to be taken daily for life as needed. I was told that I could take Colace everyday but have found after 2 months that I don't need it anymore. -
Wow, just wow!

Mine has been talkative since my first surgery in 1998. It is much louder now and only after I eat something!

It is because they don't understand. I started out at 225, 5'6" in Sept. I no longer take my prescriptions.
