Machalo, Great advice! I do this too when I crave something, I just tell myself I can have this at a later time and then I think about what I have gained by having surgery.

I’m starting to despise my chewable vitamins...

AJ, what vitamins do you take for energy? -
You are not the only one! I had a terrible pain on my left side, burning or stabbing. It finally went away at 3 weeks, what a relief! I couldn't bend over at all with out actually screeching in pain, and I am very tolerant of pain. You are not a wuss this is a very painful surgery for a lot of people. Hugs!

Cauliflower Rice Helps: Picture:
Lynda486 replied to Dr-Patient's topic in Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty Forum
I have had the riced cauliflower when I was pre-op and loved it. I also have had riced sweet potato and the zoodles (zucchini) so healthy and feels like it is not 😉 -

What is the white machine that despenses the vitamins. I have never seen one. Also, what vitamins do you take, it looks like a lot 😃 -
2 weeks post op and in pain on day 13 and 14 whats going on!!
Lynda486 replied to Iamdlo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My pain was in the same spot, just behind and below my left ribs. I called it a burning, tearing pain. I had it through week 4. One thing that helped was a heating pad to the area, not a lot of help, but it did make a difference. Welcome to the other side! -
So looking forward to next stage PUREE

I gained a lot of water weight while in the hospital, my belly was as tight as a drum. I did notice the bladder thing also, but after I got rid of the water weight it stopped. -
Lately my husband has pointed out that my breath is awful, even soon after bushing my teeth. I can think of a couple causes, ketosis or dehydration. Anybody else have this issue? Any ideas?

MY SURGERY AND HOSPITAL STORY :)
Lynda486 replied to New&Improved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's great to see you. Sorry you had such a time, I stayed 4 nights because of a breathing complication Much like you I would get pain meds and then off to sleep. I can't watch to see how great you are going to do with this! Welcome to the losers club! -
I am six weeks out and was told to trim off the glue as it starts to peel, but don't pull it off yourself. I just trimmed of the last of my glue yesterday.

I never thought of that, thanks!

What do you do with shrimp? I bought some but not sure what to do with it.

My first night on the soft food diet I made a pot roast and it was delicious. I was told you can eat anything soft. So soft cooked meats, veggies, eggs, yogurt. I have had chili, baked beans, brisket etc. I was told also no hard foods: chips, crackers, popcorn, nuts, and any tough meats. Anything crunchy. Hope this helps!

my personal little official thread

One thing I forgot about a TT is that since they lift and rearrange your skin you may have numbness. I had mine in 1999 and ever since I cannot feel my skin or belly button! I am so happy for you, sounds like this will be easy and can't wait to see pictures! -
Muscle pain/nausea after activities post op

When I was in your position someone suggested a heating pad on and off my stomach throughout the day and it really helped! -
I brought a robe and a charging cable but I really didn't need to bring anything except the robe. I sure didn't feel like being on my phone and mostly I was in bed and drowsy because of the pain medication.

I try to keep a jacket in the car for going to the store and hospitals are always freezing!

insurance tips for plastics
Lynda486 replied to amithistrose's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I went to a Plastics DR and told him what I wanted and then he submitted everything to the insurance. I had wanted a Tt, a boob lift and my legs done. My insurance only covered the tummy tuck -
I got on the scale today and wanted to cry. The scale is up to 196! I know the cause I think..... I have only once made it to 800 calories in a day. I am on the soft diet and in a week I can start my regular diet. I just don't get enough calories in each day. My water is pretty close anywhere from 54 to 62 oz a day. It's frustrating! Thanks for listening!

I am also much colder since surgery. I dread going out to feed the critters, especially on these 30 degree mornings!

Reflux 11 Days Post Op
Lynda486 replied to SassyCassie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What surgery did you have? I had reflux for many years before I had a revision in Sept. What I did was not eat after 7 pm (this one will depend on when you go to bed) elevate your mattress or prop yourself up on many pillows. Avoid spicey foods and all that jazz. Do call your surgeons office and they may up your Omeprazole dosage. I was taking 40 mg every morning. Hope you feel better soon! -
Panda, I was at the same calorie range as you and my team said I need to be eating from 800 to 1200 calories a day. I started using Myfitnesspal.com and am now getting upwards of 600 calories a day. I haven't weighed yet but I did take my waist measurement today and have lost 5 inches off my waist, and I'll take that!
