  1. I’ll be checking with my pharmacist so see what he suggests
  2. This surgery can’t come soon enough! Every damn part of my body hurts from my knees, hips, legs feet etc. I’m only 58 5’2 (apparently lost a damn inch) & 235. My body since January is NOT HAVING IT! Can’t wait until the day I never have to speak one word about my health. It’s the most boring subject on the planet . I have developed all kinds of co-morbidities!! My surgery was postponed for a week & as frustrated as I am. I understand that I have to be in the best position to have this surgery. I am just soo frustrated about the daily pain & I’m so eager to reset my life & begin again!! No one ever wants to live their life in this stupid pain. It physically & emotionally hurts so much because I don’t even want to leave the house.
  3. https://www.skinnytaste.com/turkey-taco-spaghetti-squash-boats/ This is one of my favorite spaghetti squash recipes. It can be modified depending on where everyone is in their recovery.
  4. Skinnytaste.com has an amazing recipe for spaghetti squash taco boat!!! I started to really enjoy spaghetti squash after trying different recipes. Depending on where one is in their recovery the taco dish can be modified
  5. Awe.... that’s incredibly kind, Frustr8!! Ty so much. I would rather be safe than sorry!!! ?
  6. They found out from the blood work. They had me recheck again yesterday & still high. I’ve never had that issue before. Thank Hod they’re so thorough because you know exactly where you stand health wise!!
  7. Is the clear premier water flavored & if so.... which flavor are you using?
  8. I was supposed to have surgery Monday 8/12/19 also but mines being pushed back 1 week due to thyroid levels. I’m a little relieved because I haven’t been great on my pre-op diet. My drs require for my 1 meal low carb , low fat & high protein & veggie . Crabs are protein just don’t add fats like butter etc to them.
  9. Was supposed to have my surgery 3 days from now on Monday 8/12/19. Found out this morning that my TSH thyroid levels are 4.5 so my insurance is asking for additional info & follow up from my PCP. At 1st I was upset but now I feel a little relieved. My pre-op hasn’t been going as restrictive as I’d like & I can do better. Might as well be as healthy going into this as possible. Rescheduled 1 week for 8/19/19
  10. My surgery is this Monday 8/12 & I was told to be prepared for a temporary change in hormones & possibly feeling a bit depressed for a few weeks. I’m glad that I know that going in . If that happens I’ll know it’s a byproduct of the surgery & it will pass

You look great! A very important goal of mine is to get back in the saddle. Horses were my whole life for many years. Looking forward to getting my health & my life back . How’d the lesson go?
  12. I don’t think anyone is thrilled to be knocked out & have major surgery. The way that I handle it is knowing that I choose this team . I trust these doctors so I try & trust the process.
  13. 8/12 for me too!!! Sooo excited!!!
  14. Congrats!!!!!!
  15. I’ve heard about ricotta pie. Haven’t tried it but people rave about it
  16. Congratulations !!!!! I’ll be 59 in a few weeks & I’m determined to make the rest of my life the best of my life!! You’ve got a great attitude! I’m also so looking forward to boating too & actually feeling good about wearing summertime clothes. I’ve always loved boating but always felt painfully self conscience. Kayaking is on my bucket list too!!! Looking forward to hearing about your progress!!!
  17. I’m 9 days away from gastric & ive slipped up a few times on my pre-op diet. I was worried about it & went in to talk with my nutritionist. She reassured me I was fine. It really helped to curb my fears.
  18. Very true. We are going through a life changing/life altering process. It’s bound to have a ripple effect in different areas of our lives
  19. Wish you all the best as well. I wouldn’t have even gone for a sleep study if it weren’t required by my insurance. I snore. I have MILD. Often it goes away after we drop weight. BTw.... where do you live? You talk about a “theatre “ which I’m assuming is the hospital. I live on Long Island, NY! Nice to meet you Peggo. I’m Joan
  20. Also.... according to my dr. My sleep apnea is very mild. I’m not tired during the day etc
  21. I got my sexy cpap machine a month ago & I HATE it & haven’t been using it much. My surgery is also on 8/12 & I hope it has no baring on my surgery. I can’t sleep with the damn thing
