  1. Hi everyone!!! RNY scheduled for 8/19/19. I was rescheduled from 8/12/19 due to insurance wanting more info. I’m actually relieved because this extra week is giving me more time to prepare mentally & physically. I was a little freaked out last week but I’m settling in as I check more things off the list . Who else is scheduled for 8/19/19 & How are you doing? 5’2 58 yrs 235 lbs BMI 43
  2. I’m just starting to get used to the Baritastic app & liking it. It also has a scanner. Tried the slammer on a can of tuna & it worked well. I think it takes a little practice but so far so good. I’ve always been a WW person & I’m used to tracking & this seems similar!
  3. My RNY is 8/19/19 and this week I’m doing 1 meal & two shakes a day. 2 days before surgery... full liquids
  4. Hi ljmasse! 1 week from now 8/19/19! You’re 10 days after me! Good luck to both of us! I was pretty nervous & anxious about it but as it gets closer & I’ve begun to understand how to take my prescriptions, & understand everything I need to do I’m becoming more excited! How are you feeling?
  5. I was on WW for years & learned so many wonderful finds at Trader Joe’s. What are some of your favorites after WLS?
  6. Hahaha! I have many times at William Sonoma!! Also many bravolebrities, Kelly Rippa etc. I lived in the Hamptons for many years
  7. OMG!!!!!! I LOVE all these incredible pics of everyone’s hiking expeditions! Bariatric Pal & all of you are my new best friends! I love how you have all changed your lives and living life to the fullest. I’m aching for that. I can taste it. I so want to be living life in with both feet. This weight has sucked the living s#%^ out of me & kept me stuck. You have all given me so much strength & inspiration. TY so much for opening yourselves up & sharing your journey! I live on Long Island in NY . For me personally it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world & I’m looking forward to sharing it all with all of you in the near future. RNY in 7 days 8/19/19
  8. Probably best not to work out together. He really sounds very controlling. “I don’t know how to get through to him”. Maybe you can’t get through to him. Maybe he isn’t up for you to “get through to him”. I started going to therapy as soon as I made the decision to have this surgery. I knew I wanted to reset my life & choose better for myself in every aspect. Physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually . They say while doing this surgery that you also have to do the head work. To me that’s just as important as losing the weight. Best of luck

  18. I’m not ready to date again at this point but I do have that on my radar when I feel physically & mentally ready to get back in the game. In the past though.... I’ve met some pretty great men on match.com. A few have become lifelong friends just not marriage material. Since I’ll be 59 in a few weeks.... I might try “our time “. It makes me happy to see others that have met their life partners after getting healthy!!
  19. Oh your post is making me smile!!!!! Congrats on your weight loss & congrats on feeling so much better! These are the reasons why I decided to do the surgery in the 1st place. I have completely lost My mojo & the heavier I’ve gotten the more I stay home & hide! Here’s to getting back into the game of life!!!!! ?
