  1. Hi everyone. So happy to see so many of
You remaining active on our Forum. Congrats to everyone! This has been a journey. I am doing well

My labs are awesome, feel great about it. I am almost at goal weight. Woohoo. I can’t believe it. I’m still working out about 5x a week and recently bought a new spin bike. So excited.

Hope you are all well !!

37 pounds is AMAZING!! Keep doin what you're doin. What kind of workouts are you up to?

thanks!!! For cardio I either take peloton classes or use the elliptical for 45 minutes. I make sure I get over 10k steps at least 6x a week. I was also doing very light weight training. No more than 10lbs. Now that I am clear for everything, I am doing a lot of strength training and cutting back on cardio. Exercise helps a lot withy anxiety. Sadly a few years ago due to an injury I slowed down and gained a bunch of weight.

  3. Hi everyone! Checking in with you all and hoping you are all well. I’ve been out of the US on a mini vacation and wow it’s been a crazy time. First of all there’s not much I can eat obviously. I tried ground lean beef and chewed the heck out of it, and felt severe tightness, sooo much pain for about 20 minutes. Literally only had a bite of it. Won’t try that again. I bought eggs and my stomach loves it as well as turkey meat.

I have Been working out and lost about 7lbs during my vacation. All I can think about is how much food I would have eaten had I not had surgery. Lol. Yumm frozen margaritas with guacamole and chips on the side.

How are you all feeling ??

Hi Bypassers! Pretty quiet on this thread. How is everyone doing? Anyone have anything to brag about? Or gripe about, for that matter?

I am doing well. Exercising pretty much everyday. Getting around 9k steps per day. Went back to work in the clinic after 4+ months of working at home. And I puked up half of my morning meds this morning 🤢😂 I guess I took them too fast and I am still on one blood pressure med that tends to disintegrate before I can swallow it. Yuck!

Hope all of you are out there kicking butt! 💕

Glad to hear from you! That sucks at vomiting. Hope it doesn't happen again. Yassssss @ exercising. Same here, working out feels so much better now lol. I feel so happy knowing this time next year, I will be super healthy.

I have a small NSV. My XL Old Navy shirt, its huge..down to a large woohoo.

Keep pushing everyone! Looking forward to hearing from you all.

  5. hi everyone, I am feeling really well. Still cant tolerate Protein Shakes, no matter what brand/flavor/homemade it is.

I am still able to get my Protein in through other approved measures.

I cant wait to move to thin purees this Friday and eat a little more protein based foods other than yogurt. So far I am down 18lbs since surgery. Hope you are all well and wishing everyone a speedy recovery. Cheers to August!

  6. hey everyone. hope you are all well. @mmmmhill, I can relate, I too feel fantastic. It Is a little shocking, Ive been able to take hour long walks and not feel drained. I see my doctor in a few days for follow up visit. I hope all is well. It has been a little tough getting all my Protein in. The dietician did tell me not to worry If I am unable to do 80g of protein so long as I am able to get liquids in. I have been at around 50g of protein per day.

@Repeatingthoughts you might want to try making some unsweetened lattes- they basically save me. I used to tolerate Premier Protein but now it’s too sweet. So instead, I brew Decaf coffee and use 3/4-1 cup Fairlife fat free milk with 1.5 scoops of gene-pro Protein. That’s at least 29-32g of Protein per latter with no sugar.

that sounds delicious! I will try this one tomorrow. I made a Peanut Butter and jelly shake with cashew milk that has 10g of protein per serving, organ organic vanilla with 21 grams of protein, 2 servings of PB2 and a tablespoon of sugar free strawberry jelly, 1/4 cup of plain greek yogurt..all less than 10 grams of sugar. it was delicious.

  8. @maybemeow. I am doing so so. I do not like Premier Protein so I’m going to make my own shakes. Just had to reorder my PB2 powder to add extra Protein. I’ve been doing well with my liquids. I have to step up my protein ASAP as I want to minimize the loss of hair and muscle mass. Pain wise I am doing super well. I have not taken any Tylenol since last night.

How are you ? How is everyone.

I’m having surgery Tuesday 7/28 and I’m this close to canceling due to fear and I will be alone in the hospital.

Hey thicc! Consider your pros and cons. I’m at the hospital alone because I don’t want to put my family at risk for covid. My favorite loved ones are older and/or have compromise immune system. With that said, I don’t feel completely lonely because I FaceTime with them throughout the day. Would that be an option for you? I know is not the same to have folks with you physically. if you do decide to go through with this, remember your purpose, your goals and remind yourself you won’t be there for ever. Good luck with your decision.
