Tonight’s dinner outfit.
-
Vacationing in Mexico for our one year wedding anniversary. It’s so fun to feel good in shorts, swimsuits, and dresses each night for dinner! And so delightful to escape the Seattle rain for a week :)

Does anyone here NOT obsess of carbs?
kristieshannon replied to AnnieD78's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My program is moderate about it. However, my protein goal is 80g/day. Even at 6+ months out it’s nearly all I can do to get that in, so not a whole lot of room left for carbs. -
Amazing!!!

Oh man, I LOVE that raspberry color! You’re brightening up what looks like a cloudy, dreary day :)
-
I was inspired by your thrift shopping and found a leather blazer of my own at one. Will post a pic! I love your boots & belt combo in this.
-
I love both pairs of boots, and the jeans with the belt looks amazing!!!
-
It’s a nice weight fabric, seems to be well made. I’m wearing a 12 for reference.

Fresh off the Amazon delivery truck! I love this faux wrap style. Now I need my hubby to take me out on a date night so I have an excuse to wear it!

Gastric Bypass better than Gastric sleeve in reducing co-morbidities
kristieshannon replied to over65's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And a weird improvement-my heals/feet used to be so dry and cracked. Now at almost 90 lbs down this is completely resolved! -
Gastric Bypass better than Gastric sleeve in reducing co-morbidities
kristieshannon replied to over65's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was able to ditch my CPAP 5 months post sleeve. Also my BP meds. -
I’m so excited! Started this journey about a year ago, was 286 at my highest. Surgery 8/12. Hit Onederland this morning! I’m so thrilled with my results :)
-
@november11 I ❤️ your jacket! @KaysMommy that fitted cardinal looks great, shows off your teeny tiny waistline!
-
I would never have worn a patterned sweater like this before. I’m feeling super great this morning, completed my longest run since high school last night with no walking intervals!

What Would You Do?
kristieshannon replied to kc892020's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Every surgeon has different restrictions/requirements. From nearly day one I’ve had a cold brew every morning as well as 2-3 cups of caffeinated tea each day. My surgeon has no problem with this as long as I also drink my water each day. The caffeine is highly unlikely to have been the source of your bleeding. I’m glad you’re on the mend now! -
When Did You Stop Wearing "BIG" Clothes?
kristieshannon replied to Machalo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m getting rid of things as they get too big and replacing them along the way. I’ve bought a lot of jeans at Costco-did you know they carry Calvin Klein and other designer jeans! Less than $20 a pair makes it affordable for me to buy things I won’t be wearing for long. -
I like the Premier Cookies & Cream so much better than the regular chocolate. I mix it with a Starbucks nitro cold brew every morning for breakfast.
-
Oops, forgot the pics and can’t figure out how to edit my original post.

Yay for Friday! Had my 6 month follow up with my surgeon yesterday. BP was 113/60 and resting heart rate 56! Off all meds now except vitamins. 90.5 lbs down as of this morning. I’m heading to Mexico in less than 3 weeks to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with my husband. Although I’m not where I want to be yet, I’m going to feel such more confident in my swim suit and summer dresses this year!

@AngieBear I LOVE that suede jacket and finding it at a thrift store is such a bonus! @AnewAngela a 5K and a half marathon in one weekend? Impressive, and you looked great doing it! I love your running pants!

I love dots almost as much as I love stripes. Probably my last time wearing this top though, it’s getting too big. A good problem to have! I’m off to my 6 month follow up with my surgeon and nutritionist today and am excited to show them my progress. 37 lbs to goal as of this morning!
-
Thank you! I ❤️ stripes nearly as much as I love a good bargain :)

I had my VSG in August of 2019. Overall I’m thrilled, I’m approaching 90lbs down. I’ve got more energy and am running at the gym 4-5 nights per week. However, I’ve had repeated colds since surgery. I’m a nurse in a large public health hospital. Due to this over the years I’ve developed a pretty iron clad immune system, rarely getting sick prior to surgery. I take my vitamins every day, drink my water, get in 75-85 grams of protein daily and add in as many veggies and a little fruit as I can. I see my Dr. for my six month follow up later this week and will ask about it, but I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I average about 750 calories per day. I wonder if the big deficit is leading to a decrease in immune ability.

I’ve been lurking here daily, decided to join in. Not a fabulous outfit, but super comfy. The big deal for me is this top is a size MEDIUM! Old Navy, and got it off the clearance rack for $5.99. Size 14 jeans. I haven’t seen these sizes on myself since high school!
