  1. This week everything I've noticed the same thing on TV, food, food, food, food and more darn food. I just come to this site and browse around until I go to sleep lately.
  2. Right, she hasn't posted in awhile. I hope all is well and she's just been busy.
  3. The great thing is, I have a few bariatric friends who I can share with if needed. Also, the theory of the vanilla drinks, can be a base and interchangeable with different extracts flavorings, teas, and smoothies. I will push through these.
  4. Are you sure you didn't want it all natural, lol!!!! That would've taken my edge off and made laugh. Glad to hear you had a great team...
  5. First, welcome home and congratulations. Are you able to hold your baby now, at least with the assistance of a pillow over your stomach? What was the admittance to the hospital like up until surgery?
  6. While we are waiting for updates from our ppl who had surgery today/this week...I've got some updates, I decided to start packing my hospital bag tonight. I needed a distraction from hunger and nerves, lol. I've purchased something loose to wear to the hospital, lounge wear for after surgery (for home), Gas-X, Tums, Mederma, lightly scented hand sanitizer (I'm a germaphobe), extra unscented chapsticks, a cute little basket to put supplies in by my different areas in the house. I'm a over planner, I prefer to be over prepared instead of underprepared. I'm not going to carry supplies from room to room. I'd rather have little stations set up, pillows to prop up and shoes by the door for short walks. I'm getting antsy.....ready for my pre-op Friday at least, I have a million questions for my surgeon. On a side note: Thank you guys for letting me ramble on and on..
  7. I remember you stated you had your surgery at West LA Kaiser, were you kept overnight? I'm only asking because I saw someone post that they were released the same day as surgery from this location. This concerns me.
  8. I love the concept of sending those beautiful flowers online...how gorgeous.
  9. I'm looking forward to having a peek at my collarbones again. Ohhhh, how I envy collarbones and cheekbones ???. They accentuate a sexy neck, I'm just saying... you better work!!!! ?
  10. Wow, Kaiser is the poster child for Premier Protein drinks. I would think they had a joint endorsement deal for one another. As far as bone broth that's also encouraged by the nutritionist at Kaiser. Totally different programs promote different kinds of products for their patients.
  11. Me too, I was just chewing on jello...jello, I'm going to make it and push through. You are too!!!
  12. What did your pre-op appt. entail? More testing, labs, review of the process ???
  13. This will soon be another victory!!! Congratulations.
  14. How are you feeling, if you don't mind sharing while you're waiting for others to provide an update? Congratulations for crossing over the surgery line.
  15. My former life honey and smoking. Goodness, honey on multigrain toast, yummy.
  16. I was thinking the same thing, no guests today. Also being a private person, you don't have to explain why you don't want company. I wish you could say that you are under the weather.
  17. Did you have your last appointment with the surgeon already? If so, what did it intel? I'm getting anxious and I'm ready to get this party started. As a reward following my appointment Friday, I'm going to the movies to keep my anxiety occupied/distracted. Then I'm going to come home and pack my hospital bag.
  18. How long is your minimum hospital stay? I believe its a 1 night stay, without complications. I read yesterday that someone at my same hospital were released the same day? I'm totally confused, a major surgery and released the same day???
  19. Hey January pending surgery people for this week, are you guys ready?
  20. Hey February Graduating Class, are you guys excited? Look at it this way, after I have my surgery on January 31st, your group will start crossing the stage... If you have questions or anxiety is settling in, read the January or prior months ahead to hear everyone's experiences.
  21. Congratulations, are you prepared? Bags, packed, post-op supplies ready at the house, support team ready? You're going to be fine.
  22. I was told that walking, even if only in your home or driveway is key to expelling the gas.
  23. Avoiding everyone in my office like the plague, they are full blown sick and inconsiderate.
  24. Please expess what you are experiencing to your medical team. Especially if the pain treatment isn't providing you relief, they can help you. I hope you start to get some much needed relief very soon.
  25. Please share your results.
