  1. You look awesome! Congratulations on your success!
  2. YAY, YOU!!! Keep it up! I found that watching YouTube videos helpful & encouraging. Just search “Bariatric” or “VGS”. There are some really good ones.
  3. Personally, I’d go for the soup. Anything else... Chew, chew, chew your food! Then chew some more!
  4. Up your protein intake.
  5. The catheterization was done yesterday! No stent needed! So now the cardiologist has to give the OK & I’ll get a new date for my VGS. Here we go (again)!
  6. I am totally bummed. I was scheduled for VGS on Mon, June 17, 2019. However, as part of my clearance from my Primary Physician, I had to undergo a Nuclear Stress Test. Well, I failed. There was some slowing of blood flow in my heart. I have to undergo a Cardiac Catheterization on Wednesday. After that, the doctor will see if any further action is necessary if not, he’ll clear me for the VGS. I realize it’s better that this happened. After all, my surgeon would NOT want me to flatline while he’s stapling my stomach! It’s just so doggone disappointing. I was totally psyched up& ready for the big day. I was ready to start my new journey. Oh, well. This too shall pass.
  7. I’d like to fit in an airline seat without spilling over into the seat next to me. I’d like not to have to ask for the seatbelt extender. I’d like to not have to scan the room for armless chairs. I’d like to be able to sit in a comfy armchair and be able to get out of it easily. I want to be able to move that “50 lb” thingy on the doctor’s scale to the left... twice, even 3 times! YAY!
  8. I’m 67. My scheduled date is a little over a week from now. June 17th. My pantry is stocked with Bone Broth, Jello & Apple sauce. My fridge has protein drinks & water. My freezer is stocked with sugar-free popsicles & frozen fruit for smoothies. LET’S GO!!!
  9. I had a bacon-cheese burger with fried onions, and waffle-fries. Ginger Ale. Yeah. I went there! ??
  10. When making the change to puréed food, has anyone tried baby food? I have tried an apple/blueberry sauce- tasty! I’m wondering how other foods taste. Veggies? Fruit? Meats?
  11. I love the Bone Broth. The chicken one I have tastes like roasted chicken. Delish! I usually sip it from a mug.
  12. My freezer is stocked with sugar free popsicles. They were on sale this week. I bought 4 boxes to add to the 8 I already had. ? I also have a stock of Bone broth. Lots of water. I’m ready!
  13. I’m 67. My scheduled date is June 17, 2019 for the gastric sleeve.
  14. My scheduled date is June 17th. I’m excited, nervous & scared all at once. My primary doctor is SO happy! He’s been urging me to have it done for a couple of years. I was too afraid. ?
  15. We have the same date! Less than 4 weeks. I’m excited, nervous & scared all at once. I’ve been watching various videos online & find them very informative, and in some cases funny!
