Hey fellas! Just got approved by insurance and got my date: June 17th. What do I do next? What is some things you wish you knew going into this? Doing the gastric sleeve.

We have the same date! Less than 4 weeks. I’m excited, nervous & scared all at once. I’ve been watching various videos online & find them very informative, and in some cases funny!

No regrets from my perspective. Honestly, if I went back in time to a month before surgery, I’d give myself one weekend of food funerals (just not within the 2 week pre-op diet). I know that sounds weird, but there will be times after where “head-hunger” is real even though you could not eat more than a bite or two of whatever you are craving. I have stuck to my eating plan and the restrictions are a huge help but sometimes I do miss a big burger or pizza. Btw, I’ve had burgers and pizza since surgery, just no more than a couple of bites. I’m no self control guru either, it is like I just finished Thanksgiving dinner...I feel so full. Good luck!

Measure yourself for times you cant SEE the weight coming off
Take all the time you need to heal
Make sure you focus on loving yourself as cliche as that sounds
