All great advice which I will definitely follow, I'm 9 days out post-op RNY. @Brotherman Bill What I want to know is, where do you live that a cup of fruit salad cost $16.95, the moon? I live in the San Francisco Bay Area where everything is expensive, but not $16.95 for a cup of fruit salad expensive!
Good luck on your journey!

My surgery is tomorrow morning and I'm kind of worried about blood clots and the gas that everyone seems to get from surgery, due to me being in a wheelchair and not being able to walk off the gas and blood clots! Does anyone have any idea what they do for someone in my situation?
Thank you,
John

Soup question

I had my gastric bypass surgery this past May 16th and have a question about eating Soup. So we're not supposed to drink any liquids 30 minutes before a meal or 30 minutes after our meal, or during our meals. So what do we do when eating soup? I had chicken vegetable soup for dinner tonight and was just wondering what is the correct protocol, we are supposed to eat soup? Eat the solids and broth separately 30 minutes after consuming one or the other? I didn't do this, of course, I just ate the soup the way I have been for the past 50 years with no problems at all. I was just curious about what the "correct" way is for us WLS patients.
