Let's Track Our Miles!
Thanks FluffyChix, I did clock in 9K miles walking around my neighborhood as well as indoors yesterday. I had trouble pairing my android wristwatch to Baristatic so I bit the bullet and got a Fitbit and it arrives today so I can connect it and be able to submit on here. I sincerely Thank you also for the push!! I've started my walking today....

Any August 2019 people out there?
No not baked beans. It's a slow cooked beans that is then mashed and then reheated Name is misleading as it's not "refried" like with oil or anything. It's a very Tex-Mex cuisine and not close to traditional baked beans with sugar added. This was fat free/vegan and no sugar added. I had microwaved eggs yesterday and it didn't go down well for me so I'm staying away for now. Let me know how scrambled work for you. Good luck ???

?AUGUST 2019 CHALLENGE?
Day 22. 6 days post op. Not baking cookies. I will do some gentle as tolerated stretching in my room. My focus remains walking. B sided questions: Pre OP, public restrooms have NEVER been my go to and I avoid except ABSOLUTELY necessary (the behavior is quite malignant!!) and I envision similar pattern post OP..... we'll see...

Wanting to eat everything before surgery. Help!
Hello Dee2938, if it's any consolation, I went through a similar pattern of "food funerals" prior to my surgery and I sincerely wish I could say I regret it. I also had about a 10lbs to 13lbs weight gain within the span of 3 months due it. You are very lucky you only have 2 weeks more of crazy indulgence. My advice is that you focus on your absolutely favorites that you won't be able to have immediately OP or EVER and be mindful of portions.....ie don't go hog wild on every food you see, just your top favorites! Now the caveat for me doing this was the commitment I had with myself to follow my surgery team's plan to a T post OP and use this tool to lose 100% of my excess weight regardless of the expected weight loss of the surgery. I hope this helps center you some. Another alternative is to start a food journal and have your nutritionist keep you accountable if that's a possibility. Good luck?

4oz refried beans with cheese and 1 oz peach. Served by bariatric team during post OP class. I was extremely nervous!! I ate the beans over 2 hrs. 1/3 at a time. I had a bariatric forkful of the peaches and stopped.

?AUGUST 2019 CHALLENGE?
Omg!!! Thank you guys so much!! I got on that bike and within the first 5 mins, I was like, no and I left the gym altogether!!! They said stationary bike was allowed so I just assumed I could do it, NOPE!!! Yin yoga is gentle movements but after 5 mins at spin, I just knew this is all too soon. I'll keep walking around my living room. I so appreciate your advice and input, I can't imagine if I didn't have this group and was shuttling in the dark!?[emoji169]?[emoji169]??[emoji7]

Day 21 Vgs: 8/16/19, 5 days post OP SW: 213 (yes, food funerals spoke loudly) Day after surgery weight: 224 CW: Not weighed myself and don't plan to until bloating is gone. In the gym waiting for 8:30 spin class of which I will pedal extremely gingerly and at the slowest pace for me possible. Then Yin Yoga is the next class. I signed up for that too.
