  4. Day 11 post OP. My program went straight to soft foods about a week post OP. I tried eggs once and it didn't go down well so I've abstained for now. I went back to liquids fir a few days and now able to tolerate refried beans, cottage cheese, plain yogurt, fish and even chicken breasts. Quantity is the issue, I think about 5 to 6 bites of fish and chicken and I am full. I'm allowed 1/2 cup cooked veggies OR non citrus fruits with my proteins but I've not done much of that yet. I typically pair my fish or chicken with cottage or ricotta cheese or plain yogurt. No starches, grains, sugar or dense carbs allowed for now and I don't miss it. So averaging 60g to 70g of protein daily, less than 10g of net carbs. About 500 cals (on a good day) daily. Went back to work yesterday, dealt with head hunger for a bit because of past routines with food and colleagues but working through it. Gently trying to get 10K steps per day if able. Surgical scars have closed but feel a pinch on the largest incision when I bend too quickly otherwise it's like surgery didn't happen. I choose to weigh weekly so next weigh in is Friday. Prayer is that we all ease into this new lifestyle effortlessly[emoji120][emoji120][emoji120]
  5. Good luck with surgery hiphopdiva!!!! Wishing you very speedy recovery!! Didn't it feel Like this day won't come[emoji2] Cheers [emoji253][emoji253][emoji322]
  6. Congratulations [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322]?
  7. Day 26. Watch a movie: Didn't even watch a show! First day back at work. It went well but struggled to find the right time to eat at work. Being in that environment triggered some head hunger as the physician's lounge is always loaded with food and also had a routine of eating with colleagues. I resisted that head hunger and stayed in my office. So by the time I got home, it was soccer runs etc and by end of the day, no movies to be watched! Rest day: ...Not! Still got 10K steps in.
  8. Sincerely, completely painfree!! Sometimes I question if I had surgery. My largest incision site pinches when I bend suddenly on that side. Otherwise back at work, walking 10K daily and generally just adjusting to the new lifestyle of food not ruling my life! Don't be scared! You'll do fine and heal fast!!
  9. This!! Thanks Sheribear for validating that ridiculous hunger cues pre surgery!! It was ridiculous!!
  10. Congratulations [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322]
  11. Congratulations on the weight loss [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji126][emoji126][emoji126]
  12. Omg Chiptress I can so relate!!! I noticed very suddenly on Saturday that my frustration tolerance was EXTREMELY low!! My family and I were at a resort and they could not do anything fast enough or right!! I was [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] the entire time and eventually culminated in me asking all of them to leave the room so I can take a nap! They were already going to the pool area for some scheduled activities but I sped them out!! I stayed alone in the room and wondered why i did and said what i did[emoji53][emoji53]. The change in the mood was so rapid and drastic! I'd gone from zen, I'm feeling great about surgery, life, my purpose, my family to MONSTER in less than 3 hrs!!!! Full disclosure: I also started my period same day and while that is it's own animal, it was never this bad. Anyway, sat in the room for 30 mins and then eventually dressed up to go join them. P.S. I still made my middle sensitive child cry on our way home by an unusual caustic statement. My husband gave me a look then. Wow!!!! I'll be as mindful as I can moving forward! I miss my zen....I hope it returns [emoji53]

  21. Day 25 Gentle stretches to loosen my muscles for about 15 mins. Went to an amazing restaurant on the resort for breakfast. Pre surgery, this is exactly what I lived for!! A fantastic breakfast menu to eat unrestrained! Would you believe I went in with my hint bottled water and sat and watch my family have the best breakfast ever and I didn't order a thing but to sip sip on my Hint water! My daughter even offered to get me some smoked salmon and cottage cheese on the buffet table but I told her I was fine. Once again, this silent gremlin called Grehlin is truly the shocker of this surgery!!!! I know it doesn't last forever but I plan to make the best of it while it lasts!!!
  22. Thanks!! Good luck tomorrow and it goes so fast!! The quickest recovery from any surgery I ever had! Wishing you speedy recovery [emoji253][emoji253][emoji253]
  23. I was finally able to fully sleep on my tummy po day 8. First good sleep I've had in a minute! Fitbit clocked in 8 and half hrs of uninterrupted sleep!![emoji119]
