I'm with you Vance! That pain from sipping water or broth is so so uncomfortable! I was sleeved yesterday and that initial gas pain made me ALMOST regret my choice! Then I started walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and it's significantly better. I still couldn't finish one bottled water in a 24 hrs span until I discovered walking and drinking is light years better than sitting and drinking. So as I have been walking, I've been drinking and seriously hope they get outta the hospital tomorrow!!![emoji57]

Thanks so much loridee24! Surgery went well yesterday but the gas pain as everyone has mentioned was horrid!!! Doing much better today!! I've been walking and walking around the unit. That definitely helps and my surgeon has been on top of the pain. That said, it feels surreal that the surgical part is OVER!! I have no desire to eat whatsoever. I've tried to finish my broth this am, water is not happening and jello makes my tummy cramp like no man's business. I'm praying they discharge me today though they are insisting I finish 64 oz of water!!![emoji22][emoji22][emoji22] Told my hubby to bring HINT water for me, maybe that will go down better. Thanks a million for asking. How are you??

I was sleeved yesterday 8am. Still in the hospital. Drank only 3 bottle caps of water the entire day! Yesterday was horrible! There's no other way to describe the gas pain!!! Today I woke up feeling semi human. I'm hoping to go back home today and it can't be dependent on keeping anything down because much as I try, it's HARD!![emoji25][emoji25]

No matter how much I read it on here, saw it on YouTube, I couldn't have prepared for that gas pain. I was almost writhing in pain. I quickly got walking and walking and walking! I was named the "walking queen" on my floor! Just woke up this am and can come on the forum because I am feeling marginally better. I can't believe I am on the other side! Feels surreal. My doc took a before and after of my stomach! Wow!! She actually said, this was the largest anatomical stomach she has EVER seen [emoji54][emoji54][emoji54][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22] and she would have thought big stomach would correlate to big BMI as a hypothesis but she's clearly wrong. She had to make the exit insition larger to get the stomach out!!![emoji26][emoji26][emoji26] Anyway, excuse all grammatical errors, still slightly under the influence of pain management. Well said!! This is my first post since surgery yesterday. I was feverish and filled with all types of anxieties last 2 days it was insane because I was not prone to feeling anxious after a wonderful and exciting decision has been made. I've also had surgeries in the, most recently removed my lapband with amazing recovery afterwards. This surgery was the first I went into worried about my mortality inspite of knowing how unlikely it was to die from it. I worried about not feeling prepared, worried about if I can just continue my ago old diet and exercise!! In the end, they are very normal feelings. You will be fine.
