PudgeBeGone got a reaction from GradyCat in Pouch reset
Thank you imma stick to it this time. I just feel like I’m failing even more since the whole Covid thing starting. I’m thankful I’ve been able to stay the same even tho I feel like I eat a lot. But I wanna get below 200 at least. I only got below 200 in early pregnancy because of nausea but I felt so good at that weight even if it wasn’t my overall goal.

Well, a couple of thoughts pop into my mind. One, a pouch reset involves going back to the basics of eating focusing on Protein, watching your portions, tracking everything you eat, and drinking enough Water. It's that simple. Your pouch probably is still functioning like it should. My second thought is that you're experiencing head hunger if you're hungry all the time. Boredom. Stress. Habit. That's a harder habit to kick, but you can do it by limiting yourself to 3 meals a day plus a snack.

Does your surgeon's office offer lifetime dietician counseling? I would call the doctor's office and their advice to specific to a nursing new mother.

I wouldn't do a liquid diet while you are nursing. You need quality calories right now for your baby. Ask a dietitian for help.

Congratulations on your baby! I'd say consult your dietitian or doctor, as nursing mothers have very specific nutritional needs.

This is something you should talk to your doctor about. As a nursing couple you need a certain amount of quality calories to maintain breast feeding if you want to continue it. There are also some meds you can take that are safe for the baby that can increase your milk production.
You could also seek out the help of a lactation consultant One helped me tremendously!
I wish you the best of luck with continued breast feeding if that’s what you want to do. My youngest & I were a nursing couple for 28 months & it was amazing to provide so much of the “good stuff” for so long.

B12 is a water-soluble Vitamin that's safe even at high doses. It has a low level of toxicity because the body excretes whatever it doesn't use through the urine.

yes - mine's always high - at one time was over 2000. The surgeon just shrugged his shoulders. I don't think having a high B12, if other things are normal, is a huge concern (evidently...)

After surgery I would take a normal bariatric Vitamin after getting pregnant I started the one for pregnancy bariatric patients and now my B12 is really high it’s 1354 pg/ml. Has anyone had the issue of it being to high?

I posted awhile ago that I found out I was pregnant. And when I went my drs gave me a whole lecture even tho I was just a month shy of what I was supposed to wait (we weren’t trying I was told I had less than a 1% chance of ever having a baby because I’ve suffered several miscarriages in the past) anyway they scared the hell outta me and made me think this pregnancy wasn’t going to be successful. But I am currently 20 weeks and expecting a baby boy 💙 the baby has a two vessel cord so they are keeping a close eye on him but everything looks good! Only the BPD was measuring a bit behind (only 2-3days) everything else was either measuring right or a few days ahead 💙 early pregnancy I lost 14lbs due to nausea and not being able to eat or drink Protein Shakes but a month or two in the nausea started going away so I started getting 90-100g of Protein to catch back up. Pre pregnancy I was 212lbs and I got down to 197.6lbs I’m currently half way thru and just now gaining weight so I think I’m doing well. this morning I was 205.4lbs. My obgyn asked me if I was eating because I wasn’t gaining anything and was actually loosing 😅 (they are aware I had the surgery I go to them and a specialist because I was previously a diabetic, had multiple miscarriages, and had rny) I assured her I’m eating a lot more than I did before getting pregnant. I’m hungry every two hours which is INSANE because if I don’t eat something I start to feel sick and before getting pregnant I would get the feeling of true hunger maybe once a day 🙄 but I read that is normal since our tummy’s can only fit so much and with a baby our bodies require more. I just wanted to post an update because I’m SUPER EXCITED and feel so blessed that I’ve been given the chance to create life. We’re having our rainbow/miracle baby and I am just so happy 💙🌈

I would talk to your OB/GYN and your surgeon about that issue. None of us are qualified to discuss medicines safe for a baby on board situation. Sorry your tummy is burning, but glad the urps and nausea is leaving! Congrats on 9 weeks!

I use it for my pcos and insomnia. I don’t get high then go eat. It was just a question because before a teaspoon or less of honey worked better then weed. And didn’t know if I could get something I know works for try a different cbd product.

Before surgery I would use cbd honey to help me sleep. I am currently smoking weed but The honey always helped me sleep better. Did anyone have any issues eating honey after surgery? I don’t wanna buy a $60 honey if I can’t eat it 😂

Hi! I got pregnant 4 months post op. Had my baby and pregnancy was a breeze. My restriction faded during pregnancy so I was able to eat more but I still dealt with dumping on certain items. Also I didnt gain any weight actually lost 27lbs. I was not considered high risk at all. I also refused for glucose drink and opted in for the finger sticks 4 times a day.

February 5th I found out I am indeed pregnant. I’m close enough to what’s recommended (march27,2019 is my surgery date) so I don’t want any lectures. This is for the ladies who have successfully gotten pregnant after wls did you have healthy and successful pregnancies? Did you have any complications?

I consistently hit my Protein goals. I still lost A LOT of hair.
Started around 2-3 months post op and kept on going until month 7 or 8. It was very annoying. On the bright side, I got to cut off all my hair into a cute pixie cut.
I am now almost 15 months post of and its almost all back to normal. I can see all these new hairs growing all over the place that are almost as long as my regular hair. Now, my hair is still on the short side, so that helps, and my hair was already on the thin for years anyway...
It sucks, but barring any major issues, your hair will go back to what it was pre-op. Eventually.
    Good Luck!

I melted coconut oil, added herb and simmered it for an hour, Then melted chocolate chips into it and added a bit of sugar. I froze it so it would keep. It was yummy like fudge! But I recently threw it away-I was afraid I would dump with it! First time in my life I wasted good herb...😰
