About Me
Four years ago I had the gastric sleeve because I was getting ready to start insulin and I’m terrified of needles. Thus, had the surgery, hoping it would help me lose a lot of weight and stop the progression of diabetes 2. Thrilled to say my health is improved and I no longer need any medicines for diabetes. My only regret? I was against having the surgery for myself and now I wish I had done it years ago.
Three years after surgery I slowly started sliding back to eating sugar. At first it was a few pounds extra, now it is either 20 pounds extra or 30 pounds (I’m thinking of going back to my original weight after surgery where I was a size 6 and felt good). The good news? I’m back on my high protein, healthy food plan. Have lost three pounds and looking forward to exercising again.
