Month Post Surgery
Try the unflavored protein packs in some of the foods or liquids you can manage( celebrate 20g) I get it. The protein drinks suck, I even drink fairlife milk (13gr of protein) to help me with my intake. I can't stand those powders nor do I like the chocolate taste of the protein drinks.. so I had to improvise to ensure my protein but I still fall short sometimes, but remember to keep pushing you will get your routine in place soon enough!.

New here
I have always been overweight and have a history of it in my family but the biggest reasons why I decided to have weight loss surgery was because right before I begin to work out for the thousandth of times thinking I was going to do another diet plan to lose weight. I got severely injured at work and then before that was a car wreck after all these things took place it limited me being able to exercise and do different things I want to do to try to lose weight and so one day my knee doctor suggested doing weight loss because I was too young to have all these issues especially knee problems. I'm like I agree im too young to have problems like this that stem from injuries but couldn't properly heal because of weight and I work with kids on a regular basis so I'm here to tell you if they're suggesting it to you research it look into it ,if you are faith-based person pray about it and get a second opinion but at the end of the day you make the right choice for you don't let anybody else choose for you you make that decision for youself definitely take heed to the advice if they are giving it. I'm glad I did it most importantly I'm glad I did it for me! I wish you well on journey!

GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br />
+
Thank you thank you for started this post! Or restarting it! I can honestly tell you even before surgery 3/25/19 I wondered about this and my weight lost journey especially since I carry my weight in my thighs and butt! I started my journey at 402 and although I'm losing I can't see it so I can relate to those who deal with that. When you hear all the stories of the dramatic drop in weight and I'm thinking when is it my turn.. but then I remember it's my journey and I'm writing my own story for the new me! Thanks for all the encouraging post and comments! We can do it ladies and we are doing it! #anewus!

Extremely rude nurse
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. Report her to their medical board and your Surgeon. You just had a major surgery you definitely didn't need that extra trauma in your life. I pray your journey gets better throughout the process..

Getting my surgery tomorrow
Good luck!

NSAIDs
I was told only Tylenol because I had the same problem 2days before my surgery. No NSAIDS I couldn't even take it for my knees

It’s a week tomorrow I had my sleeve .. no weight loss yet
Wait until your first post op visit then start weighing yourself once a week. That's what I did so I wouldn't get discouraged. Scale can be frustrating. But you will be fine. I didn't think I lost anything and stop my post op I actually did.
