Please follow the plan that your team set for you. If you advance your diet before you are supposed to their could be dire consequences.
You are lucky that you are having very little issues but trust that your body needs to heal before moving on to the next phases.
If you look around this forum you will find that the people that are most successful are the ones that stuck exactly to plan.

I had this post op. Using my spirometer to exercise my lungs helped tremendously. I am day 5 today and no more lightheaded/ shortness of breath.

Hi. I couldn’t imagine any bariatric surgeon not requiring their patient to get Protein in post op. It is very important for healing.
The cardinal rule for bariatric patients post op and for life is “protein first”
i had sleeve in 2018 and revision to bypass last Friday. Both surgeons required 60grams of protein post op.
Good luck with your research and hope that helped.

Sounds like maybe she is a bit jealous of your weight loss to me. This is also the type of person that will try their best to sabotage your efforts.
Dont let her hurt your feelings. She is the one with a problem. Not you.

    Congrats on 16 successful years!!!
I'm sorry you are having this. You should call your doc or go see your PCP and get a referral to a new doc. It could be so much! It kinda sounds like it's some kind of hernia but I don't play a doc on the internet. You def need to get some studies done. Things like EGD, barium swallow, and the super-awful-bad esophageal manometry/motility test are 3 of the ones that will most likely be used to dx. But if you can't keep stuff down, you gotta get it looked at. Hang in there!

Everything went great! Took 4 hours. Just feel a bit of burning along the abdominal incision. Minimal muscle repair needed. Minimal Lipo needed. I feel fantastic! Headed home now. I have 4 drain tubs but only one is really producing, the lower right. So far, so good! And my arms are tiny!

Today is the day! Leaving at 5am for a 6am arrival. Surgery scheduled at 7:30! I am the first and only patient of his of the day. I'll post frequent updates and all post-op everything here! I have my recliner bed all set up, my Percocet, Keflex, and Celebrex near the "bed". I have given the cats a stern warning about jumping on me. I've done all I can. Wish me luck!

I use the Predermine line from Darphin. It's massively overpriced so I buy it here. I think eventually I might try fillers and botox, but these are helping.

Right side under ribs could be your gallbladder if you still have it. Very common after bariatric surgery.

One more option is Fairlife Milk. Great option for those that can’t tolerate the shakes plus it is good for lactose intolerance

I wish I had thought of that before! I learned how nice a warm protien shake can be, but it's a lot of work for "nice" so I usually just have it cold.the only beauty of a liquid diet is that I can be really lazy about food.

One more thing that helped me pre op was to freeze my shakes. I would eat them with a spoon and it made me feel as though I were eating.

Try some Unjury chicken broth it has 21 gma if Protein per serving. Get some sugar free flavored Syrup and pour it over crushed ice to chew.
I just did my second pre op liquid diet and am now on post op liquid due to revision.it truly sucks but is so important to stick with it. The purpose of the pre op is to shrink your liver. This makes it easier for the surgeon to get to your stomach and makes the surgery much safer for you.
Try to find things to do that will distract you from food.
You could also try the clear protein 2o to see if you can tolerate it better than the shakes. Drink as much sugar free liquids as you can to help you feel full. This is just a short period of time that you have to do this. The rewards will be well worth the effort.
Hang in there and good luck!

The bypass, because my gerd is really bad, and sleeve gave me that including a hiatal hernia so I go this Tuesday to revise to the bypass.

Losingit2018 reacted to LadyVS in My journey: The Pain of Starting Over
Hello everyone. I finally had surgery this past Monday, 11/18. It took my surgeon a while to get the Lapband out of me because of all the scar tissue that had accumulated. I was supposed to come home yesterday, but I couldn't. I was in so much freaking pain and had so much nausea that I stayed until today. So I sat in my favorite recliner after getting home for about 20 minutes and well, I've been in bed ever since. I knew it was going to be painful, but dang this really hurts. I'm not hungry at all which is the point/purpose. I've lost two pounds so far, and I know that as the swelling, gas, and pain fades, I will continue to get smaller. Yeahhhhh, now I'm excited and happy!

You may want to try Syntrax Nectar. You can get it in normal shake flavors or in drink type flavors. Plus it is lactose free and an isolate instead of concentrate. I love the chocolate truffle flavor.
I think that the bp store here offers sample sizes. I get my full size jugs of powder at Amazon. They are not overly sweet and have no weird aftertaste to me.
Hang in there and I wish you luck!

eta- here are sample sizes also info on why isolate is better than concentrate
