    Need help

As long as you are getting your liquids in right now you should be ok. Keep working on the protein. You have a lot of swelling going on right now that makes it hard to get thicker liquid down. It will get better as you heal. Do call your surgeon to be sure that they tell you the same thing though. Hang in there and good luck!

    so scared

So sorry that you are suffering. Have the dr figured out what is going on yet? how far out from surgery are you? Gentle hugs and prayers sent your way.
  3. Search for a blog called world according to egg face. Many great recipes for all stages after bariatric surgery. The ricotta bake is super yummy.

ADHD and Migraine Meds After Surgery

Definitely talk to your surgeon. I am not sure how the meds will absorb but, I do know for a fact that you can’t have any nsaids after bypass surgery for life. The risk of ulcers is far too great.

    nectar

Syntrax Nectar? They taste better and are a much better form of protein than Premier. Premier is mostly whey concentrate Nectar is whey isolate. Most surgeons recommend whey isolate.

I HATE I GOT THIS STUPID SURGERY!

You may want to try syntrax nectar. You can get it in normal shake flavors or in drink type flavors. Plus it is lactose free and an isolate instead of concentrate. I love the chocolate truffle flavor. I think that the bp store here offers sample sizes. I get my full size jugs of powder at Amazon. They are not overly sweet and have no weird aftertaste to me. Hang in there and I wish you luck! eta- here are sample sizes also info on why isolate is better than concentrate https://store.bariatricpal.com/products/syntrax-nectar-protein-powder-trial-sizes-17-flavors-to-choose-from

    1 Year Surgervisary

That is an amazing transformation! You truly look like another much younger person. Congratulations!
  8. Wow!!! Great job! May I ask if you had any complications? I am wondering why you stayed in the hospital for 7 days.
  9. With the fact that you have gerd the dr should be able to get approval for the revision I have only had the Vsg and preparing to revise to bypass. Gerd is my issue as well.

    CHEWABLE MULTIVITAMINS???

One thing that some of you may want to note is that chewable are more easily absorbed than capsules or pills that you just swallow I was told chewable for life
  11. Gerd never had it before sleeve in 03/18 now I have gerd and hiatal hernia i really don’t want rny but with all of the new info coming out about ppi not being safe long term, a revision is what it will be.

    spine degeneration and herniation

Is it possible to see a pain management dr? They are the best to work with for pain relief. the best otc pain relief that I have found hands down is turmeric. It needs to have the curcuminoids plus it is necessary to take it with bioperine in order to absorb it. Hang in there and good luck!

    CHEWABLE MULTIVITAMINS???

FYI I am 18 months out and did check with my surgeon on the turmeric. She said it is absolutely fine to take it post op. She takes turmeric herself so is very familiar with it. I made sure it was safe to take pre op as I am riddled with arthritis and could not get by without it. I know that drs are all different but hope this helps since you were not able to get answers from yours. I have been using opurity chewable sleeve and bypass optimized vitamins from unjury since surgery. They are high quality, taste good and are affordable.

    3 Years

I am not familiar with ipmn. Is this something that was caused by the bypass surgery?

    Constipation

I have med induced constipation. I have been taking a dose of miralax in my morning coffee for 12 years now. It is so safe that they actually give it to children. It works well to keep things moving for me.

To go to ER or wait?!?!?

These are what I use but I have heard that you can get them at Walmart and various pharmacies https://smile.amazon.com/American-Health-Original-Chewable-Tablets/dp/B0014291SA/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=papaya+enzyme+chewable&qid=1571443082&sprefix=oapaya+&sr=8-3

To go to ER or wait?!?!?

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but. Papaya enzymes have been a lifesaver for me in times when I eat too much or something is just hard to digest. I keep them in my purse and at home at all times.

    Are you Sleeve to RNY?

What did you find most difficult with the revision? I am going to revise sleeve to bypass 11/22 and would live to hear others experiences.
  20. Hang in there, Mark. You got this. Life is getting ready to get so much better for you. Please let us know how the surgery goes when you are able. Good luck!

    Before and after

    Wow awesome transformation!
  23. Oops my pain was on my right side. Sorry should have read title closer
  24. FYI- what I had was called a seroma
  25. I had similar happen post op. I can’t think of the name of it but it was where a pocket developed and did not fill up with blood as it should. It was where tissue had been removed. I was actually on the floor crying in pain. Surgeon on call said he would meet me in the er if I wanted but lancing the area would be excruciating. Instead I was instructed to use warm compresses. This helped me immensely. Do check with your surgeon to be safe.
