    Gallbladder Warriors! Sound familiar?

The first time I had that happen I went to the ER. They gave me morphine and a scan and my gallbladder came out a week later. It was excruciating. I don't know if you will get a diagnosis but don't wait if it happens again! Hope you get some relief.

    Great news!
  3. I cut mine in half. That seems to work but I wait 10 minutes between pills.

    Weight Regain - Need advice

It might help to go to the nutritionist to get back on track. Be proud you are aware and want to nip it in the bud now. Good luck.

    Anxiety/Depression after surgery

Remember that there are hormonal changes going on on your body so depression waiting for the magic to happen is normal. I'm at 240 and hoping to break 200 so I get it. I also haven't ventured out much while I'm healing and adjusting to this new stomach. Depression isn't in your head and something you can talk yourself out of. Call your therapist if you need to but reach out for help. This, too, will pass.

    Hard day?!!

I'm 11 days out and still have trouble getting fluids and protein in every day. Some days are better than others. I've decided that I am doing the best that I can and I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I'm getting more in today than when I started. Baby steps for me.

    April 2019 Surgeries!

    Good luck!
  8. Yes it happens to me. 11 days out. I think it happens bc I swallow too much at a time. I find that if I space out smaller sips it doesn't happen.
  9. You have extended your life. The post surgery stuff will pass. Mine was April 1st and every day I feel better and stronger. I stayed an extra day and then was readmitted. Keep your chin up.

    Pre OP bypass

I received a supply of the medicine cups at the hospital to take home. I also bought a one/two ounce shot glass and a good set of measuring spoons for tablespoon/teaspoon measures. That is all I have meeded so far. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'll bet you will tolerate yogurt. It's got all that good bacteria. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Very first puree meal, question

I tried eating 2 tablespoons of scrambled egg on Monday and it didn't set well so I decided to wait a week or two to try again. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Anxiety/Depression after surgery

I have also suffered from depression and anxiety most of my life and have taken meds to balance me out. It is not something I have ever been able to manage alone. Wish I could. For me it's physiological. I just had surgery on the 1st and am coming along slowly but am feeling better every day. After my pysch assessment I have continued to see the therapist since he deals with wls patients. We are working on my relationship with food, a lifetime battle. I want this to be the final chapter in obesity for me.

    2 1/2 Weeks Post-op food intake

Try hot chicken broth. It felt good to eat something hot. I added salt and pepper to low sodium broth. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    VSG Post Op Report

Day 3 for me and I don't feel well enough for all those activities. Please remember you underwent a serious operation and your body needs time to heal itself. We are supposed to take it slow at first. Constipation is normal I have read. It will pass as our bodies adjust to the new digestive tract. Give yourself credit for the positive changes but don't beat yourself up. Have a great day!

    April 2019 Surgeries!

Hello everyone. April 1st sleeve surgery here. Surgery went fine but had a first bad night. Nausea and vomiting but felt like a new person the next morning. My bp skyrocketed and I ran a fever but all gone today. Pain is minimal but it is hard getting water down. I want you to know that we all respond differently but even that minor complication isn't going to stop me. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    April 2019 Surgeries!

Wow we are twins separated at birth! I was prediabetic last summer and that started the ball rolling. Recently my kidney function has dropped and I have chronic kidney disease. They say I won't be able to raise that number but I can stop the decline. I have been exercising most of my life so would be happy to share my favorite activities. Check in for me is 12:30 with 2:30 lift off to a longer, healthier life. I'll be thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way!

    April 2019 Surgeries!

We are almost identical in starting weight. My surgery is Monday also. I'm having a sleeve done. Height 5'5 1/2" Starting weight 254 this morning No idea about goal weight. Several years ago I dropped to 181. People said my face was too thin at that weight but I think I would like to get below that weight. I'm playing it by ear depending on how I feel. Good luck with your procedure. Will look forward to hearing about your success.

    VSG Post Op Report

Thank you so much for your detailed narrative of your first two days. I am scheduled for Monday at 2:30. Wanted the early time too but was happy to fill a cancellation. I am less nervous about the surgery itself than I am about life post op. Really appreciate hearing about the beginning of your journey. Keep us posted.

Three protein shakes and a small meal a day. That will do it.
