    Aetna Approved

I have Aetna too, they were really easy to work with and they even had a nurse call me directly a few times after surgery for added support.

    ❤ APRIL 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Went to the gym had a decent workout. Briefly met my personal trainer who I have my first meeting with on Friday. Did the crunches and squats at home. I’m lucky, I feel like I treat myself everyday. I guess today I took a shortcut and grabbed Jimmy John turkey unwich no mayo xtra turkey. It’s only 125 calories and fills me up. I’m super nervous, I’m buying a new scale this week. If I weigh more on it I’m going to ignore it until it matches what I have now! B side: No big difference for me on weekends although we usually go out. I just plan ahead.

Did lunges and plank. I made it to 60 seconds! Decluttering the hall closet and putting away winter items even though it is snowing really hard today.

    ❤ APRIL 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Did the squats and crunches. Taking today off from the gym. I went 5/7 days this week. Went for a walk and ran into a neighbor who complimented me on my weight loss, so a good day so far.

    Weight gain at 4 weeks

I learned to only weigh myself in the morning only, and ONLY on days I feel lighter. I have had 2-3 pound swings but I knew I didn’t gain weight because I eat less than 800 calories a day and never cheat. I just weighed a bit more for whatever reason that given day or time. I feel like I lose slowly, but in hindsight it’s been steady. If I wasn’t tracking what I ate I would be nervous about weight shifts. I’m 8 months out and closing in on my goal. edited to add: I just looked up my weight tracking, at 4 weeks my weight stalled for 3 weeks and then I only dropped 2 pounds. Looking back I remember thinking I was going to be the only person on earth that didn’t lose weight eating 600 calories a day!

    Will it get easier?

You seem to be in a unique situation considering you are mourning the weight you will be losing. Have you discussed this with your Doctor so you are mentally prepared for the change?

    ❤ APRIL 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Dinner for one tonight. I bought a wild rice stuffed chicken breast, I had it once before and it felt so indulgent. I’ll eat about 2 tablespoons of the wild rice. This challenge, my new Fitbit and going to the gym is working for me. I already hit my goal to get below 150. I was exactly 149 this morning. I’ve lost 7 pounds in the last month which is higher than normal since I’m close to my goal weight. Thank you for this thread, it helped kick me into another gear.

    First Doctor Appointment tomorrow

I think my first appointment was 2-3 hours long. I met with the metabolic physician, (I didn’t meet with the surgeon until my second appointment), the nurse and the nutritionist. I think I spent the majority of my visit with her. I had labs etc done and was given a large binder and a checklist of all the appointments and testing I needed. They also provided the names and information so I could schedule them easily. One bit of advice they gave me made a lot of sense. Get the sleep study done first because if that came out wonky it would take the longest to straighten out. Mine was fine, but required a follow up that delayed my surgery 3 weeks. I never understood why I needed that follow up! I was given a diet plan to follow for the next 3-4 months and I had to meet with the nutritionist once a month. I left feeling very confident and organized.

    I need help!

Dr. Wiener on YouTube has some really sound advice and videos you might, (or may not!) find interesting. I like his straightforward no nonsense approach. I don’t know I agree with everything he suggests, but he has a lot of common sense knowledge. Link to Dr Weiner You can do this!

#8. Did my list, I’ve accomplished a lot! Finished the 20 & 20. Went to the gym and burned off more calories. B. I hate chewable vitamins, we aren’t supposed to have gummy ones right?
  17. I’m 7 months out. My top 2 tips are, 1. Track EVERYTHING and 2. Wait at least 30 minutes (or longer if your Dr recommends that) after a meal before you drink.

How many ounces can everyone fit 12 months PO

I am about 7 months out and I can eat 3 oz of dense protein like chicken breast. If it is ground beef or chicken I can eat 4 oz.

    Food Before and After Photos

I don’t have a picture but I made this recipe,(Asian chicken meatballs), last week and it was super good. I personally skipped the peanuts and the mayo dipping sauce. Instead of an appetizer we had them as a lettuce wrap. I have been craving spicy since surgery. I highly recommend this one. Asian chicken meatballs
