  1. Hello, what were the easiest protein bars to get down when you transitioned to regular foods?
  2. Also, there’s nothing TMI about talking about your period. ?
  3. I can’t say for sure, but I know that sometimes iron deficiencies can cause abnormalities and your period. Might want to check in with your doctor just in case.
  4. I had all these fears like an hour before my surgery and I just started crying hysterically on my medical bed, but I’m three weeks post op and so happy I did it. I think most people feel a sense of last minute panic. It’s a huge life alteration.
  5. I’m almost 3 weeks post op and my glue is starting to come off. Any recommendations on scar cream/ oil brands? Also, can I start this as soon as the glue falls off?
  6. I actually don’t like halo top or any of those ice creams. I’m just feeling limited on high protein low cal options at the moment. Just another option i can have i guess?
  7. Are these okay for the full liquid diet, if melted and with no chunks/pieces? Or puréed? Nevermind, found old post on the subject!
  8. Would puréed egg salad be okay for the puréed stage? Just hard boiled eggs and light mayo in a food processor until smooth?
  9. I had severe ulcers in my esophagus and had to be retested after meds to be cleared. I don’t think you’ll be cleared with ANY type of active infection in your body. You’ll have to treat and retest i think.
  10. Omg same!! I have one little area that pangs and hurts really bad on my left shoulder. I walk 30+ minutes every day and stretch a lot. I’m 8 days out from surgery.
  11. I am dying to chew something right now, one week post op ? Me too!! ????
  12. I looooove Indian food. What did you have that was puréed? I want to mentally prepare for a glorious meal! I’m 6 days out from surgery now.
  13. I told people i was doing a medically supervised weight loss program. Which is kind of true haha. I basically told them my actual diet but that it was a nutritionist and doctor supervised program, not a surgery. Works on all fronts so far.
  14. I’m on the pill Ocella and my doctor said i can keep taking it no problem. I just had my surgery a week ago.
  15. I hate the fake sweeteners too. I’ve started adding a little garlic powder, salt and pepper to Fage 2% plain Greek yogurt and it’s a nice break from sweet. But oh man, do i was some eggs and cottage cheese! Hang in there!!
  16. Thank you ?? What stage of foods are you on now?
  17. Hi all! I had my surgery on 6/4. Leading up to it the nutritionist told me the pain would be similar to my breast reduction that I’d had many years ago. Well- the pain when I woke up from surgery was truly the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. I had horrible nausea, but the chest/gas pains were the worst. Wow! Every day has been better and I’m up and walking and not needing my pain meds except to sleep. The nutritionist also told me I wouldn’t be hungry after the surgery. Wrong! I’m on full liquids but I’m dreaming of scrambled eggs and rotisserie chicken. I was hoping I’d have no appetite. Anyway, why do some people do full liquid for a month and some for two weeks? Just different doctors?
