  1. Anyone know of a fill doctor in the Houston area. My friend in considering Mexico for surgery and doen't want to make the trips for fills.
  2. I am also pre-op. Still kind of scary. I am afraid the band can make the gerd worse. My surgeon has asked for an endoscopy. The last one was 6 years ago and I was negative for Barrett's (pre-cancer condition from excesive acid in the esophegus). My surgery is scheduled for the 27th of this month. I have an appt. on the 20th with a gastro dr. to get scoped again. I live on medication now, I guess I can continue with that after the band. Donna
  3. Has anyone heard of the band making reflux worse? I live on Previcid and I'm a little concerned. Dr. says it should improve, but I wanted a little feed back from others who suffer from severe gerd. Thanks, Donna
  4. I have not had my surgery as of yet. Waiting on loan approval (self pay) before I can schedule. My dr has asked that I go on low carb, low fat diet before surgery. I am finding this most difficult. Now that I know I'm getting banded, it seems that I want to eat everything in sight. Maybe kinda of a farewell to lots of bad foods??? Anyone else experience this before surgery?? :hungry:
  5. Hi Deb, My name is Donna, I'm also a newbie. I was kind of releived to see you asked the same question that has been on my mind as well. I'm not to sure about telling people I am going to have the lap band surgery either. The few I have told are very mixed in opinions. My HB is very supportive. I'm waiting for a loan approval them I'm scheduling with Dr. Spivak in Houston. How about you?? :clap2: Donna
