  1. I am 3 1/2 weeks actually post op from gastric sleeve but my question is about the IV they put on for surgery. As someone who has had multiple surgeries (I'm talking 35+) They have NEVER had this much of a problem. I have an extreme phobia of needles... but I kept it together as much as I could. And I didnt move... But they put in the numbing stuff and then the iv needle. But they tried.. NO JOKE for 15min trying to get the vein... Before ultimately giving up and going to my left arm. But now I have a bruise that just hasn't gone away. Has anyone else had issues like that? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Yeah I knew they were rare.. I just still get nervous... and while I was in hospital... they made me do that nasty test with the barium stuff like twice a day... to make sure. it stunk.Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I've been curious about this for awhile. But the Question is... If I for some reason develop a leak or something and I try to eat or drink something would I be able to feel it? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Slight Soreness Still in my tummy.

Thank you to you also! My anxiety gets the better of me and sometimes I end up thinking that I did something wrong and it's my fault. :'( Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  6. I will be 3 weeks post op tomorrow from Gastric Sleeve. Is it normal to still be a bit tender in my belly and also for the bigger insision to be tender when I bend and stuff? (I do try and limit my bending.) Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I am also on a antidepressant and I was unable to take my medication for almost 2 weeks because it was extended release. But after talking to my primary physician she switched the medication. I'm still on the same type just in a different form. So as long as they arent extended release. You can crush them. I crush my pills and then mix it with water and splenda. Still kinda nasty but better than taking it straight. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Taking Pills After Surgery

I've been crushing mixing my pills with water... at first I didnt mix it with anything but water but couldn't do it anymore like that. So I ended up adding a splenda packet which is acceptable because it's a sugar substitute. It is still gross but definitely better than before. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I'm new to this forum... I am currently 2 1/2 weeks post Gastric Sleeve surgery. My question is... Is it normal for my bariatric surgeon to tell me to crush all my pills, after my surgery? And if it is. How long do they normally have you crush them? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
