  1. Happy 53rd Birthday rylee13!

  2. Happy 52nd Birthday rylee13!

  3. I was banded 5/10. Your experience sounds exactly like mine. Same age, the hernia thing and of course the gas. I woke up in the recovery room and felt like I couldn't take a deep breath without extreme pain. Incisions? Oh, yeah ... that was no big deal. It took about 6 or 7 days until my gas pain went completely away. The doctor said 1-2 weeks so I was thrilled with only one week. It does get better every day though. Just do like they say, and it will eventually go away. Hope your job is not too physically demanding as I did have low energy for the first week. I am feeling at about 95% now and it has been 13 days. I don't regret it, but have had challenges (son's graduation dinner). Stay on the boards and learn. It really helps to know there are people that are going through the same thing. We can do it!

    chest pain? Gas or full?

Yes, yes, yes! It gets better every day. It took about 10 days for it all to go away. For three days after surgery it was all I could think about. It is just something that some of us go through. I am 12 days post-op and feeling back to normal :rolleyes2: I walked a lot and took Gas-X strips. Also, the heating pad helps. Hang in there. I feel your pain!

    chest pain? Gas or full?

Thank you so much for your posts. I was banded 5/1008 and I am so thankful for this forum! I have the same thing. Horrible gas pain after surgery. The incision pain was nothing in comparison. My shoulders and chest are so tight. I also have the flip-floppy chest pressure. Also, it sounds like there is a pride of lions in my tummy!!!
