Faye's Story
Faye had gastric bypass surgery in January 2012 and this is her story ..
Before surgery: Faye was taking blood pressure medication, had major Knee
problems, wearing a size 18-20. She was active but not doing as many things as
she would like to do.
Surgery: Faye came to NewStart with the desire to lead a healthier life style
and her excess body weight which at Faye's 5 feet 4 inches and current weight of
253 goal was to wear a size 10.
Faye chose to have Gastric Bypass Surgery. Her surgery was January 12, 2012.
After Surgery: Since her surgery Faye has surpassed her weight loss goal by
10% size 8. She is off all her medications and walks on a daily basis. She says
''This never could have done. I have totally changed my eating habits and when I
look in the mirror I love the way I look.
Currently Faye has lost 87 lbs and rocking a size 8.
Faye's Advice: '1f you are considering the procedure do what the doctors
directions of your dietitian and you will have great success like ME!"
January 2019 and I have gained about 20 pounds because if broken foot and other issues and it slowed my walking and exercise. I am in the process of resetting my pouch and will be down by the end of March. I can do this. Thanks for reading my story. It is a process, I am still wearing some size 8 and 10's but I am determined to continue this journey.
