    Dr Woodhead??

I'm actually being banded by Dr. Woodhead July 9th. He's a really nice man with great bed side manners. You know, there are some doctors out there without manners  My first appt with him was back in May. Looking forward to it.

    Who's Getting Banded in July?

I'm scheduled for July 9th. I just gave my work the doc's note. Thank god they didnt ask any questions. Had a whole bunch of things ready to tell them except the truth. It's not that i don't believe in what i'm doing, just that i don't need the freakin corporation to know about it...500 people word gets around fast!!!
  6. I've been using the nutribar replacement vanilla powder and in incorporating it into meals. So for example I take my morning coffee/w milk put it in the blender with the protein powder and some ice and make a slushie out of it. Then for lunch I take some water, frozen fruit berries and the protein powder and blend it up. For dinner I usually have a piece of meat w/veggies or salad. Can anyone tell me if what I'm mixing the protein powder with is good for me????
  7. funny thing is that I've never actually worn FMB's but they look fun to wear :wink2: yah i never had that shyness about refusing food, if someone offers and it's food, I'm usually taking LOL
  8. Ok I am soo getting this....wow, i've felt like I've been the only person on the face of the earth that has had those problems..duhhh.... Won't miss.... 1. people at work giving me dieting tips 2. having a fan on my desk while a co-worker has her heater on 3. the up and down looks 4. the thighs rubbing 5. sweating bcs it takes alot of work to try clothes on 6. lagging behind when a group of us walk 7. waiter looks 8. family members(mom/aunts/mother inlaw) constantly putting me down for my weight. 9. taking up two seats anywhere and squezzing into those bucket seats 10. not being able to wear fmb's LOL (f*** me boots) Haven't been banded yet, but it's coming up, keep you posted!!!!
  9. Hay Ang, I'm fairly new here, but I've seen your posts a few times and was interested bcs you've been banded by Dr. Woodhead. Well I had an appointment with him today, and you were in the waiting room getting your fill today. I knew who you were, but i didnt mention anything bcs i thought maybe it was a bit invasive. I was the one wearing black in the waiting room with my fiance. In fact i saw the doc right after you. Anyhow, when i first saw your posts, i noticed you were keeping a blog and that gave me the idea to start one up myself. In fact, i even thank you in my blog for giving me the idea. So it looks like the Dr just has to check with the anthesiastics, dont think i spelt that correctly, anyhow, once we know that, then it should be a go. Hope everything went well with your fill. Here's a link to mine if your interested. Would love to hear how your progress is going. A little nervous but really super ready for this. Chow for now. Sarvae

    Finally.......

  10. I'm scheduled to meet the doctor on Thursday to discuss the first steps in this process. I've already taken some blood tests so he can have a look when im there. I'm scheduled to see Dr. Woodhead in Delta, BC. I've heard good things about him. Not to mention he's only a ferry ride from where I am. This is going to be a self-pay visit all the way thru. I have to say my timing isnt very good as I'm getting married in 4 months, but this is something I have gone back and forth with too long. Promised myself I can do it on my own, only to go back 2 steps. The money seems soo minimal in the schemes of things. 14, 000 is a large chunk to swallow though. My question to those of you in BC and have gone thru self-pay is; Has anyone used the medical financial instutions to borrow money for this and how does the process of paying back the money work?
  11. Thats really comforting to hear about Dr. Woodhead. How long did it take to have the surgery from your first consultation with him? Your probably right about going thru the bank. I guess I thought i would wait until our appt to figure out the specifics. How has the post-op stuff going?? How long was your recovery period???
