7 Days Post Op - Ate Cottage Cheese

I've had tomato bisque and blended chicken noddle soup. So good! I've tried both from Panera too and they're delicious. Overpriced, but yummy!

7 Days Post Op - Ate Cottage Cheese

I am 10 days post op and was placed on stage 2 immediately after being discharge on day 1. I had cottage cheese (less than 1 oz) on day 3. I chewed well and took tiny bites, and it settled well. I had to burp a lot after, but no discomfort or pain. I was relieved! I've been eating Jello-O, broth, soups, and cottage cheese most days. MY doctor said I can eat anything my little pouch likes--including spicy food. So I add lime juice and hot sauce to all of my broths and soups and thankfully it settles well too. All of that to say, I'm with Sonya on this too! FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR'S PLAN. If you're not sure, CALL THEM, EMAIL THEM, BUG THEM...that's what they're here for. Don't be afraid, just follow the plan, communicate and explore to find out what works for YOU.

    Any 4' 11 Bypassers?

Wow--that gives me so much hope! TFS. I'm 29, size 12 in pants and XL top. I've never been down to my teens, but I hope that with my surgery, I will be able to get below 120 lbs. You bring up a great point about writing down EVERYTHING---the good, the bad, and the ugly. I will take note!

    Any 4' 11 Bypassers?

Interesting! That means you're 1 month post op. Good luck, keep working hard!
  5. Hey all, I'm still in pre-op. Waiting to meet with the Bariatric Psychologist to final clearance. I believe I will meet with my surgeon for the consult after this. Everything else, is in order. As many of you, I'm so excited and nervous, all at the same time. Things couldn't possibly move along fast enough, I just want that surgery date already! (I've prepped all my liquids and pureed foods. I've also been practicing taking all my supplements for the last two and a half weeks.) I'm curious, is anyone else here short like me? (4' 11, to be exact.) If so, please share: How has your journey been? Did you notice the changes to your body early on or much later? How about other people? TFS, in advance!
