So you’re 6 weeks out and he hasn’t allowed you to take them at all??
-
Well that’s good that you choose to look at it a different way. Everyone is different so everyone takes it differently.. I get there are people that try and help but there are also those people that are doing it and saying it in a negative way .. with or without people telling me things I always measure my food so I know I’m not having “too much” or to slide .. banana the most I’ll have is 2 tablespoons and I’m perfectly fine with it ..

I think it’s good that you decided to only tell your close people .. and thank you! It’s definitely can be hard, but I already have some good one-liners, let’s just hope I don’t have to use them lol

Exactly, you’re definitely right!! That’s exactly what I’m going to say next time.. this is the only reason I regret being sooooo open with many people about the surgery

Isn’t it really annoying when you’re at a gathering and someone says “Shouldn’t you not be eating that?” And then everyone starts talking about it and make stupid comments like “Well don’t be complaining in acouple of Years” or “what was the point of you even getting it” .... all this only because i was eating banana because my doctor has it in my meal plan that i can eat it .. everyone was saying that bananas have sugar.. but if my doctor told me I could then I can !!! It just gets me super annoyed and makes me want to go off !! But I don’t even waist my time explaining because I know what I should and should not be eating

Mine was one week liquids, one week purée, and two weeks soft food.. after that back to solids just no starch and avoid anything high in sugar
-
The chewable vitamins I bought at my doctors are horrible they even smell like dog food .. made me want to vomit when I chewed it so what I do now is just crush it and drink it fast with tea

Can you please let me know how it goes .. I’m 3 weeks out but in about a month or so will be going to Las Vegas so by that time I’ll be about 7 weeks out
-
I should’ve been a little more clear lol.. i should’ve instead asked how soon can we eat cucumbers?

How far out did you consume your first alcohol beverage ? How was your experience? (Not here to judge each other, but to learn from each other’s experience)

I had bypass 3 weeks ago, my surgeon allowed me to shower after 48 hours as long as I didn’t wet my incisions and no bath
-
How far out are you?

That’s really good! I’m so glad to hear everything has been going great for you.. I’m not pre-op does it say that some where on here about me? I’m still learning how to use this app lol .. I am currently 3 weeks post-op

I had Gastric bypass 3 weeks ago and I am soooo happy that I chose this one .. but everyone is different so no matter what surgery you decide to get you can have different symptoms from anyone .. the good thing about this surgery is that if people have complications later down the road then that person can get a reversible meaning they can operate again and put everything back to how it was ..
Good luck on whatever you choose, you’ll do great !!!!!susieshouse reacted to this -
It is in the surgical areas but not exactly where my incisions are but near them .. I haven’t really stretched and only bend when I need too .. they don’t hurt super bad it just aches or bothers me when they come and go .. I have an appointment in about a week so I’ll make sure I ask the doctor .. how are you feeling ? What surgery did you get? We are only one week apart !!
-
I had made up my mind but still had a year to really think about it and process it .. I did so much research and watched so many videos .. but luckily I definitely decided to do it .. nothing is more important than ones health.. it does take a real life style change, have to be determined, and very much will power .. its a challenge and it’s hard but its all so worth it !! The best decision I did for my health

Hello I definitely understand where you’re coming from.. if you’re happy with keeping it to yourself then it’s okay .. but I think you just need to be honest to yourself don’t tell them for them, tell them for yourself. Do what makes you happy .. the ones that care won’t judge you because they will be happy you’re choosing a healthier life that will help you live longer. There will always be someone to say something negative but those people are the ones living miserable with no happiness in their heart.. support from loved ones is very much needed and you’re very strong for going through this whole process and even surgery and after surgery without telling anyone .. just remember be true to yourself and do what makes you happy, for you!!

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I’m three weeks out and I still get them on and off and also it feels sore inside my stomach .. my mom says that it’s all because I’m still healing .. i feel it in three sides of my stomach not just one .. other than that I feel perfectly fine

How is your journey going? How was your recovery?

Has anyone had aches like shocking pains right under your belly skin in the inside of the stomach?

Congrats to all of you guys! You guys will do great, it’s exciting! Some recommendations I have is do not buy many things for after surgery. I bought like 4 boxes of Protein Shakes and so much broths and Jello .. I ended up only using very little of the broth and gave them all away. Also, more than half of my jellos are still in the fridge. For the Protein shakes, I am barley half way through a box and I’m already very tired of them.. but I have 4 boxes left and I can’t return them.

Help with quitting smoking
in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

I tried to go cold turkey 2 weeks before surgery.. during those two weeks I went out and had a couple of drinks and smoked .. I haven’t smoked ever since and it’s been a month and a week .. it was hard but not impossible.. I still crave it at times or when I’m stressed but it goes away .. my advice is to stay away from things that trigger you to want to smoke .. you got this!
