  9. When I went to Vegas what I did was take plenty of snacks and protein shakes, when we would go eat I would order something off the menu that I could eat.. i drank but what i did was made sure I drank drank water all day to stay hydrated since I knew I would be drinking at night and when I did drink I asked for water with vodka and I would carry my crystal light packs and put some in there for a little flavor.. I made sure I drank slow and with no straw

    Telling family, friends, work, etc.

I was so excited to finally change my life for the better, I was excited that this was going to help me feel better and finally not feel sick all the time anymore .. I told all my immediate family and mostly all other family members and friends .. most of them were and are super supportive and always cheering me on .. and there are some that didn’t agree with my decision and also said certain unpleasant comments .. honestly, I wouldn’t change it because the support and positive comments out way the negative.. also I’ve inspired people in different ways .. I always see it as I don’t care what people say because at the end of the day I’m doing it for me and my health I am choosing to live! It takes courage and strength to do this and we have that .. but don’t feel that you have to tell anyone because you don’t owe no explanation to no one.. always do whatever is going to make you happy

  15. Hey Tiffany, welcome!! I’m soooooo excited for you! I believe i was told to stop my vitamins a week before surgery and certain meds, you should definitely ask your surgeon this question because each surgeons rules are different.. the way I handled and handle temptations when I do have them is ALWAYS remember why I did this in the first place, remember how it made you feel so unhealthy, and always remember that you’re in control .. it can get mentally hard and emotional but it does get so much easier and better! I think just the first weeks are hard and then you just start getting used to it.. don’t worry girl, you got this! I believe in you, you’ll do great!!!!!

    The struggle is real...

Well I’m here if you need any advice! You can always message me or comment on here
  17. Try and purée an egg that will get you full .. it’s normal to feel all different types of emotions .. don’t ever think about what you won’t ever be able to eat again .. you will be able to but it’s better to stay away from many foods or at least in moderation .. but honestly you start getting used to the clean eating and you start liking different healthy things you would think you never did .. like I never used to like fruit I would rather always have junk food and now I loooooove fruit and crave it all the type and junk food I rarely crave it anymore and when I do then i just make myself remember how unhealthy and horrible it used to make me feel when I would eat it .. I did struggle in the beginning emotionally, but don’t worry it really does get better!! You got this!!!!

    The struggle is real...

Puréed was the worse for me .. I hated the texture and just having to blend everything, but I just forced myself.. I gave my self a goal each day and although it was super hard I did it.. what helped me was that i kept telling myself purée stage was only for a week not forever, so that helped me.. don’t worry, you got this you’re in control!! And yes the doctor is right, focus on yourself .. there will be a lot physical and mental changes but always remember why you did it and how far you have came!! You got this, I believe in you!!

    3rd day

If your temp gets any higher you should definitely call your doctor .. and I felt the same exact way, I thought I can feel all my guts moving around but my doc said it’s normal and it’s also the nerves from where they did the incisions.. I stopped feeling that way about almost 2 months post op.. I am currently 11 weeks post op.. trust me it all gets better it’s normal to have all those emotions I was the same way the first week .. it does get easier .. you got this!!!

    Everyone?

Hello everyone, what do you typically eat in a day? How far along are you?

    Fear!!

No they didn’t, but what I did tell one of the nurses that was going to be with me in surgery how I was scared and she was the nicest person ever! She really calmed me down and made me feel safe.. when I got to the table everyone in there were so friendly and were super talkative I thought they were just getting things ready but they were really distracting me and next thing you know I woke up from surgery, I didn’t even realize when they put me to sleep
  24. bariutiful

    Fear!!

I think it’s very normal to feel fear. Before surgery I would fear of dying on the table or from a leak, infection, or complication. But I kept telling myself that it’s more pron for me to die from obesity than the surgery itself. The day of surgery I was nervous but extremely excited.. don’t worry you will do great! Best decision I have ever made for myself and I’m so happy with it all 😁

    Terrified of needles

I think it all depends on the surgeon. I didn’t have to do it after getting discharged from the hospital. I know some people do have to.
