  1. I can feel a bump under the skin on all of my incisions.
  2. Sorry no before pic but just imagine double of this ? Salmon, riced cauliflower, green beans with toasted sesame seeds. Very filling and extremely flavorful
  3. These look amazing!!! I thought waffles were one of those things I had to give up forever! ***pets her Belgian waffle maker*** 2 questions. 1)Where did the strawberry flavor come in, the protein powder? I couldn’t read on the pic 2) how many does your recipe make? Can’t wait to try!! Tfs
  4. So as I’m losing, my resting you know what face must be changing. Every time my daughter walks in the room this past week she looks at me and says,”what?!” Me: “what, what?!” She says, “you were making a face”. HUH?! Sitting doing and thinking absolutely nothing! It’s all I can figure out. ???Ps. I’m counting it as a NSV!! Lol
  5. So what is everyone snacking on instead of junk? Today I had sliced apples dipped in PB2 powder. ???
  6. The NSV’s are game changers for sure!! I’ve gone down an inch in my neck, my arms and breast in a week. I’m like a melting candle!! It’s starting from the top and I’m having faith it’s moving on down ?
  7. #12) that this (this being WLS) just isn’t going to happen for me. I think that’s the root of all my anxiety when I don’t see the scale moving down as quickly as I’d like. I love all the common sense advice the vets give but is freaking hard to be logical in the midst of a struggle.
  8. That’s a great attitude and congratulations ??????
  9. That is fantastic that you already meeting your protein goals!!
  10. How exciting!! Take before and after pics!!
  11. Honest (and somewhat condensed) version? - cry, b’tch and moan and then pull up my big girl panties. So maybe a nicer way of saying that is I vent where and to who I can, I search for answers to find a resolution and then come up with a plan to move forward. It’s so easy to think of it this way when I’m not in the middle of a challenge so thank you for this @GreenTealael
  12. Curious if anyone in the January group has begun to experience hair loss yet?
  13. Congratulations on your losses! ?????? I figure it’s probably as hard for my family to see it as it is for me! Unless I see pics side by side it’s not so drastic. But they do notice when clothes are fitting loose
  14. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery ??
  15. Good luck on your surgery today!!
  16. I totally get it! Same here. I’m trying to learn to break it down into small manageable battles as I face them instead of focusing on the war because that is just too overwhelming. And yes, I’ve cried, wanted to scream into my pillow and more . {{{hugs}}}
  17. My family just had a birthday celebration yesterday. Usually my focus was always on what I was making food wise and of course, the cake and ice cream! It hit me while I was waiting for everyone to pull up that I needed to flip my focus. It can’t be about the food but about being together. Granted this took place in my own home but I had absolutely no guilt about taking my plate in the other room so I could concentrate on mindfully watching my bite size and timing before the next bite. Everyone understood and then it was back to fun and games! In a restaurant situation I think I could eat as slowly as needed to not draw a huge attention to my plate and take the leftovers home to eat over the next month ?
  18. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. From what I’ve read it’s pretty rare. I wonder if your drs office could put you in contact with a support group or even another patient who is dealing/has dealt with this?
  19. Same but l usually stick with 1 snack in the early evening and maybe a cup of tea in the afternoon
  20. I use this Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein Powder, Chocolate Malt, 2 Pound https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002DYJ02A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XELHCbEH0VYWT Ice cream has always been one of my favorite treats, especially a chocolate malt. I love the flavor of this. I make up a batch and freeze it in containers. Makes a great snack that I don’t have to feel the least bit guilty over. And if I add a little PB2 it tastes like Reese’s
  21. Oohhh can’t wait to hear the b side today!!! 11) favorite body part? Geesh that changes over the years! I always thought it was my eyes so I’ll stick with that.
  22. It really does suck but you’re almost there!!! Good luck Tuesday ??
  23. I’m so sorry you’re struggling! I hope you’re feeling a little better. I have no sage advice other than to say just keep going. I’m hoping as I continue to make wiser choices my brain will catch up with my stomach and realize this is it’s new reality. Not exactly fun but I’m pretty sure the future me is going to thank me.
