  1. Congratulations!!! That’s phenomenal ??????
  2. Congratulations on your new journey!! Mine was like anything else new, exciting and slightly scary. I was really happy with my surgeon and his staff. They walked me through each process step by step and that worked best for me. Looking at the WHOLE enchilada can be a bit unnerving. Have you made an appointment with a surgeon yet?
  3. Has your surgeon made a recommendation?
  4. My surgeon told me i had to take b12 daily for the rest of my life. I do the sublingual drops. I’ve heard others complain about the taste but mine doesn’t bother me.
  5. It should make you feel good and very proud! Thank you for sharing. Your story is very inspirational ??????
  6. That first week was the worst!! Day 6 I was a harmonal, emotional nightmare! And let’s just hope 2nd time is the charm ??
  7. @mousecat88 so how did it go with the trainer?
  8. 7) I’m loyal
  9. I hate choosing favorites ??? fruit - any kind of berry! Blueberry, strawberry, raspberry yum yum!! veggie - top of the list probably broccoli and asparagus. Although probably only the tips from here on out
  10. 6. So far the I’m pretty happy with today! I exercised almost as soon as my feet hit the floor, cleaned, shopped, planning on a great dinner of salmon and roasted cauliflower. It’s so great to finally have some energy back!!!! Can you tell the sun is shining here today?? What a difference even it is still cold ?
  11. Awesome job looking out for yourself and getting to the root of the problem! And enjoy your time with your trainer this evening. I’m sure they’ve encountered every health condition and will be able to find something that meets your needs. Continue to feel better!
  12. I’ve been experiencing increasingly worse symptoms from my IC (painful bladder syndrome) since surgery 5 1/2 weeks ago. Usually I only have to take AZO occasionally but here lately I need it every day. I’m also on hydroxyzine daily for maintenance. I read up some yesterday and was shocked to learn it can actually be from my vitamins!! Acidic foods have always been one of my triggers and most vitamins are made with ascorpic (sp ?) acid for Vitamin c. I ordered some new vitamins that use a different source to get the vitamin c and hoping/praying it might help. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?
  13. Some days are like that for me too. The day to day can be, well, somewhat depressing at times. Especially if we had a visual in our minds that was unrealistic for our age, BMI or harmonal stage in life. I depend on support forums because I don’t have a local support group I can attend. I can talk to my nutritionist but it’s not the same as someone who has actually experienced all the same struggles most of us have or are facing. If you’re able to share I’m sure you will get support here. In the meantime I pray you are having a better day.
  14. Woo hoo!! 31 lbs is amazing in ANY time frame! Congratulations ???
  15. I’m seeing inches down on the measuring tape and today I was able to fit into a bra that used to be too small.
  16. All great tips and I wished I had thought about the grabber thing!
  17. Could you try a little step stool next to your bed?
  18. The only thing I puréed were soups with chunks.
  19. Yes. The purpose isn’t to get you on a fast track to lose weight. It’s to shrink the size of your liver for easier access to your stomach for your surgeon. Stick to the plan they’ve given you. You CAN do this!! Just throw all that junk food in the trash
  20. I’m so sorry Kathy! I think one of the cruelest things with grief is that life around us just goes on as normal while we crumble into a thousand pieces. I’m truly heartbroken for your family and lift you all in prayer.
  21. All great insights although I did take the pain meds ? I didn’t get in our recliner for that reason and ours doesn’t have a lever to put the foot down so it’s all stomach and legs pushing it! I camped on the couch and put a dining room chair with side arms on it next to me sideways. It was the perfect height to use to help push myself upright, similar to the sides of the hospital bed. I tried a cane but it was too tall for leverage. And yes!! The small pillow for coughs, sneezes etc is a must!
  22. Yes, it shows you posted in the plastics forum! Congratulations on your upcoming surgery
  23. Congratulations and what a touching post!! Best of luck as you move forward as a healthier you
  24. My best g/f and in all honesty my husband too. Junk food ✅ Snacking in general? Good but yesterday wasn’t necessarily out of control but I was legit hungry every couple of hours. Was on track with my water and had eaten dense protein at every meal. ??‍♀️
