Just starting the process

Hi I’m just starting the process of doing everything to have my surgery I’m kind of nervous and really need this surgery to save my life I’ve been trying to have this surgery for the last 2-3 years but my insurance won’t cover it but know that my husband got a better job with better benefits it is covered. Just wanted to know what it was like first starting out

Congratulations on your new journey!! Mine was like anything else new, exciting and slightly scary. I was really happy with my surgeon and his staff. They walked me through each process step by step and that worked best for me. Looking at the WHOLE enchilada can be a bit unnerving.

Do what your surgeon and clinicians tell you to do. :) I won’t sugarcoat the fact that the first 2-3 weeks after surgery were rough for me. It’s not uncommon, but just remember it will get better as the weeks pass.
