  1. I’m with you on not judging on weight but on ANYTHING physical. We are Sooooo much more than these physical shells. Good on ya’ for getting it off your chest!
  2. Oops !! I just saw @Orchids&Dragons posted this too! Great minds think alike ? When I saw this it literally made me spit my coffee ? Couldn’t figure out how to delete it
  3. I’ve been taking biotin for years for my nails. I started taking L-lysine as soon as I was cleared for pills. I asked about it beforehand and they wouldn’t make me any guarantees. They said hair loss is a risk with any anesthesia . So I’m doing everything I can now but I know I’m not out of the woods.
  4. A single blood test shouldn’t be much concern. An A1C shows your average for over 3 months. I used to have to fast prior but the last few years my primary told me it was no longer necessary . I agree with @Marshalle11, request an A1C. And you look amazing ??
  5. I just saw an episode about this on a science show that confirms it is a old wives tale or myth. But I do believe it said it takes longer but not 7 years ??‍♀️
  6. Weighed in last night and I’m down 7lbs this month. I was doubting I’d hit my 10lb goal for this month but now it feels in reach
  7. Yay!!! Congratulations ??????
  8. Congratulations and you can do it !! Hang in there and keep your eyes on the prize ??
  9. Nice!! I don’t have the whisk so I just throw it in the blender. But yours is so much prettier ?
  10. I agree with Ed, just follow your drs plan and you’ll do great! The first few days are no fun for most but that’s to be expected with ANY type of surgery. Just keep your focus on that “new me” . Congratulations !!!
  11. Wow!! This had to have been so freaking scary! Shoulder/chest pain and a fever?! Of course you must’ve been thinking leak. Who wouldn’t?! I hope those 3 find their way out as quickly as possible!
  12. That is amazing!!! Congratulations ??????
  13. Congratulations and thank you for your encouraging words ??
  14. What @GradyCat said and you’re body will definitely let you know ?My full feeling post op is totally different from before as well. For me I can have any of these signs : a pressure under my sternum, hiccups, belching and sometimes even a sneeze. I’ve heard other people say they get a runny nose ( something to do with our vagus nerve). Just take it s l o w! As many times as you’ve heard it, it can’t be stressed enough. There has been times when that full feeling has kicked in WHILE I was chewing the next bite. Luckily I didn’t get sick but I was uncomfortable enough to learn my lesson. Good luck and you’ll do fine ??
  15. I’m so sorry about the virus but so glad it wasn’t something more serious. So you DID have air bubbles this far out?
  16. But if you’re hitting your protein goals without them and you hate them, why bother? On those days you’re not quite hitting your goals maybe do a yogurt or string cheese or cottage cheese or any type of protein you actually like. This road is rough enough without having to force yourself into something you truly dislike. But I do get how easy of a grab and go they are. Have you tried any of the protein waters? The brand I was drinking pre op makes me gag now (so I totally get it!!) Good luck and let us know what you find!
  17. This is perfect for me because Mon or Tues are when I log my weight for the week. I’m currently working towards a smaller goal of 10 lbs. I was hoping to hit it by the end of March but ??‍♀️
  18. That must’ve really made you feel good and wtg for being there to answer questions. I’m sure you were a huge help
  19. That is amazing!! Congratulations ??????
  20. Congratulations Wanda! That is amazing ??????
  21. Congratulations! It sounds like your recovery is right on track if not better than most. I hope the reflux issue was only temporary and was resolved. Good luck with the rest of your recovery ??
  22. 19) what I’ve made that I’m most proud of is a relatively happy home.
  23. It’s a mix depending on type of virus. Sometimes I’m ravenous and other times I can barely keep down small sips. I hope you’re feeling better soon ?
