Hey everyone who is taking their time out and reading this. My name is Timber. I know very unique. Named after a flower child to be exact. Grandfather  fell in love with one and loved the name said if he had a daughter he was going to name her that. Well needless to say, he had 3 sons and I was the first granddaughter. So yes guess who got the name? Anyways a little about my journey, I have always struggled with obesity. It all started when I was around 5 or so. Several people in my family had the gastric bypass done. An aunt and 4 cousins. I never considered having the surgery done. I always said I can lose the weight on my own. Easier said then done right? May 2018 I was watching My 600lb Life, sitting at my highest weight of being 457lbs and I said to myself if I keep it up I’m going to end up on this show or I will simply just fall over with a heart attack. The next day, I called and set up a consultation for June 6, 2018. Nonetheless, my life has changed for the better. Before surgery between going to the nutritionist and seeing a PAC every month I was determined to get some weight off and keep off at that. From June 2018 to Feb 2019 (before my surgery) I was down 75lbs. I did that on my own. People tried to get me to back out of having the surgery because I lost a significant amount of weight on my own. I’m going to put it this way , If I wouldn’t have had the gastric bypass, I in all honesty would have been gaining weight and I know I wouldn’t have stopped smoking. I now have the dedication, determination great mind set to keep moving forward with this tool of mine I know have.  I did this for my health as well as myself. No one thought I could lose weight and here I am killing it everyday! A motto I live by for myself is “ If I can do it anybody can!” I was not determined, dedicated or had not even the slightest mind set and once again here I am proving everyone I am a changed woman for the better!
