I was disappointed after buying y crystal light and found that it had caffeine, especially since I gave up caffeine a few months now. It never dawn on me that crystal light would have caffeine. I am still using them but will make sure to buy the one next time that are caffeine free.

I have surgery on April 29th and plan to go back on May 6th one week after. I work in an office, no heavy lifting and free to move around as often as I want to.

I saw my surgeon on all of my appointments. If you still have questions you should call.

I am on day 3, headaches are less. I think it was carb withdrawal. I stopped coffee more than 3 months ago.

My cardiologists told me that I am slightly anemic. I changed from RNY, to the sleeve. The sleeve was my original choice, but thought the RNY would be good based on extensive research I did. One can still be anemic with the sleeve as per my surgeon, he and I discussed both surgeries and weight both options and I am pleased to be doing the sleeve on April 29th. The bariatric program requires both sleeve and RNY to take Vitamins.
I know malabsorption is a concern with the RNY, but from my research folks have to be committed in making sure that they take the required vitamins.
Talk it over with your surgeon and make the best decision for you.
Best of luck.

I am having the sleeve. On my first appointment my weight was 260 with a BMI 42. I am now down to 253 hoping to loose at least another 10lbs before surgery day.

My surgery is with Dr. Dong. I am on 3rd day liver diet, feeling light headed but I have stuck to the plan so far. The support group I go to is the one held every 1st or 2nd Monday of the month. If you are seeing Debra on Tuesday you can ask her for the information.
Don't worry everything will be fine.

Wishing you the best of luck!

I am 49 and in my opinion age is just a number. If you want to nip and tuck after your surgery go right ahead. I am considering plastic for my stomach if I end up with a lot of excess skin. Don't apologize because you want to improve on your appearance. You are as young as you feel.

Today is my 2nd day and headaches as well on the pre op diet.

I have a hospital indemnity policy with Aflac and I was wondering if anyone has filed a claim with them for either the sleeve or the bypass. I know they consider weightless surgery as a cosmetic, but obviously I am doing it because of health issues. So far they have been good with reimbursing me for up to six visits and other test etc. but they weren't to clear when I asked about weight loss surgery.
Thank you in advance!

Thank you all for the encouragement and @Shanda_2019no problem with Aeta so far.
I had my last goat curry tonight as I end my love affair with all of my unhealthy eating habbit.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgeries. I would say follow your doctors advised and what you are comfortable with. Do you wear form fitting clothes?. Only you know your body and the comfort level you feel when you are dressed in certain outfits.
Wishing you the best!

Congratulation on your journey. My advice is to start a healthy eating habit and stick to your preop if you have to do one no matter how hard it may seem.
