    April 2019 Surgeries!

@Romanoloser and @CajunSam last weekend before you both begin a brand new chapter of your lives. Wishing you and everyone having surgery this week an easy and safe surgery.
  11. Congratulations on your success so far. Like you my blood pressure is a hot mess the main reason I've decided to have the surgery. My friend turns up her nose when talking about surgery. "This is her "l will never do that". Ironically she has always been over weight. Sometimes I feel Ike saying you do realize when we became friends I was skinny right and through out our friendship I always maintained my weight until I had my daughter. Just ignore the haters, there are jealous people who does not know how to be happy for anyone. It takes a courage to have weight loss surgery. Haters gonna hate.
  12. Talk to your surgeon and explain to her your concerns. You are correct you do not know the back end of the other patient's history. Bad news travel faster than good news. I am glad that you post this question because it is a question I had in mind to ask my doctor on what standards they follow when deciding on the size of the sleeve. I saw a video on YouTube where the size of the sleeves are made smaller than when this weightloss surgery was new.

    5th week

You are doing amazing so far. My surgery is next Month and I appreciate these type of questions so I know what to expect. From what I've read here most people experience a bit of a stall but the weight and inches picks back up. Wishing you the best.

    pinto beans

My nutritionist focus a lot on beans during my sessions. I personally never have any gas reaction after eating beans and hoping it stays that way after my surgery.

    pinto beans

It's probably the gas effect of pinto beans. I love beans and I was also planning on making all types of beans soup and puree and freeze them.

Post Op Feeling Good And Lots of Gas

That's great news, glad to hear that you are off to successful start. My surgery is exactly one month from today on April 29th.

    Buying clothe

I personally do not have a clothes budget, If I see something that I like I generally just buy it. I am an XL now with a lot of clothes in my closet that no longer fits and after my surgery I will use those as I progress with my weight loss. I did purchased a nice wrap dress this week and I've been buying workout clothes.
  18. Congratulations on your pregnancy and as FluffyChix said just work closely with your medical team. Please ignore all of the rude and insensitive comments. Wishing you a safe and successful pregnancy!!
  19. Good luck tomorrow and wishing you a safe surgery. !!
  20. You look amazing and congratulation on your success so far.!!

    Asking advice!

I had a conversation with someone about the pre op diet and that person told me if you can loose weight on the pre op diet they don't see the point of weight loss surgery. I really wanted to say so why are you fat after 29 years of dieting. I think the less people know the best because I don't want any food police around me watching my every bite while secretly hoping that I gain the weight back to then tell me I told you so. The only people I can count on right now for support are my children because they will never wish me to fail.

    April 2019 Surgeries!

From your number you are doing great so far. When is your surgery date?
  23. My Pre-op will be for 12 days beginning on April 17th. My boys keep me in check especially when I want to snack at nights. "They have no problem telling me "mommy go to bed". lol. It's hard especially when there are tons on restaurants near my home and all I can smell is fried chicken and what not.
  24. They did not mentioned loosing but they encourage to make lifestyle changes ahead of surgery. Their focus is more on getting my blood pressure down and physical activity which activity which I do anyway and eating healthier. Good luck on your journey!

    liquid diet after surgery

Hi Rachel, Congratulation on a successful surgery. From what I've read here it seems each individual nutritionist put there patients on a set schedule on how and when to start their eating plan. You might want to check with your nutritionist to make sure that you are following their guideline which will help you to have a successful and safe post op recovery. Wishing you the best.
