  1. Is anyone else losing suuuper slowly? I don't know if it is because foods are so easy to eat again, or what, but I feel like I get a lot of stalls. Still down about 45 lbs since I started this journey, though - I will take what I can get! And I am hoping now that I have been walking nearly every day that will help get the weight loss going again. Happy Wednesday, everyone!

  2. It is so cute, enjoy it! I bought a new swimsuit back in February, but I am hoping once it gets closer to swim time, I will need something smaller yet. (Fingers crossed!) I personally don't think I could ever buy a swimsuit online - I am too awkwardly shaped, I need the easy access to exchange if needed. I hope it works out for you!

  3. I really enjoy my Fitbit, it can be such a motivation. I did not realize they had a forum - I will have to check it out!

  4. I don't know if it is similar to what you are referring to, but at Planet Fitness they have the 'Total Body Enhancement' machine you can use, and it works through vibration. It's supposed to be good with toning. I use it, I'm not sure if it is really doing anything but it's fun lol. Sorry if this isn't much help.

  5. Start out slow. Don't go too crazy - ease yourself into it. Make sure it is something you find fun! Basically, make it easy for yourself - make it easy to want to do it. I have faith you can find a routine!

As far as motivation goes, I always recommend the MyFitnessPal app/website. Great community, full of awesome people. Check it out!

  6. I personally reached out to my HR first. I don't know it would be the same for you, but my HR person said it would be best if I also informed my supervisor. I don't know if that could be avoided entirely for you? If not, just keep it vague - all they really need to know is you are having a medical procedure done. If they ask for more, just say it's personal. From my understanding, they cannot force you to tell them exactly what you are having.

  7. My husband was pretty uncomfortable the first few days. We don't have a recliner, so we kept him propped up with pillows, and then I also got him a heating pad. Pressure on his torso seemed to help, too (he kept a binder the hospital gave him and layers of covers on him). I didn't have the same problems, so I guess I was one of the lucky ones. Best of luck, I hope you get to feeling better soon.

  8. Like others said, one month post op is around when I started eating more solid foods. By month two, my diet was pretty much completely open. It's hard, and I am so sorry you are struggling, but it does eventually get better. I personally tried to distract myself by staying as busy as possible - even if it was something as simple as watching TV, or reading a book. You can do this, though! You are stronger than you realize. <3
