Would anyone like some pre-surgery supplies?

Thanks guys. I’ll donate mine as well.
  2. Is there anyone around Lewisville/ Flower Mound Texas (or who doesn’t mind coming here) who would like (free) clear liquids. I have Premier Clear, Zevia, Bubly sparking water and the 2oz cups for the purée stage. Let me know.

    Slow WL

Hi GreenTealael, it looks like we are in exactly the same boat. My starting weight was 244, pre-op was 230. I’m now 6 weeks out and I’ve barely lost 10lbs... I’m eating only 6-8 ounces a day with protein shakes and no snacking at all so I’m confused as to why I’m not losing weight.

    Post your daily complaint/gripe.

So thankful for this thread. I’m 6 weeks post-op (gastric sleeve) and have hit the mother of all stalls. I’m only 4 pounds down from my post-op weight even though I’m only eating about 6-8 ounces of food a day plus protein shakes)... The nurse at the clinic gave me his number to contact him if I had any questions of concerns but is constantly giving me sarcastic/passive aggressive answers! (Insert eye-roll emoji) why give out your number if you don’t want to be bothered with questions??!... Anyways, is this stall normal early after surgery and will I still lose weight?

    Minimal bowel movements after surgery

I also didn’t have a bowel movement for almost two weeks. Finally had it when I progressed to puréed foods and it’s been regular since then. So you’re doing fine.

    Bone loss?

Thank you SO much for responding to me. I feel much better. I found chewable calcium that tastes fine so I’m good to take it for as long as I need to. Thanks again.

    Bone loss?

Thank you for your response. The study I found said something similar and it really had me worried. You’re right, nothing I can do about it now other than take my calcium and stay active. Thanks again.

    Transition to soft foods

At my soft food stage, I had mostly beans, sweet potato, eggs and fish ( Tilapia, mashed).

    Bone loss?

Hi there, I’m new to this site and 4 weeks post-op. I came across an article that said bariatric surgery puts us at risk of bone loss/weakness and also makes us more susceptible to fractures. Is this true? Does the calcium we take protect our bones?

    4 week PO stall.

Thank you for this. I was getting very worried myself. I’m 4weeks post op and my weight is exactly the same as it was during my post-op checkup despite only eating 6 ounces of food a day, 2 protein shakes and my water. I’m never hungry enough to snack so I know my calorie intake is fine.

Has anyone kept their surgery a secret?

I had my surgery the same day as you 🙂 and I told absolutely no one. I even got a registered nurse to go with me because I was required to go with someone to drive me home.
