  1. Just realized I already posted here! Sorry! Lol!
  2. Can anyone share their menu schedule for pre op diet? I put myself on one because for some reason my doctor did not put me on one. My surgery is scheduled for March 11 so two weeks away. He only said the 24 hours prior to surgery to go on liquid diet. But I'm over 50 BMI and I feel like I need to do this.
  3. These are my exact thoughts!!! My VS surgery is scheduled for March 11. Not too far behind you! I wish you the absolute best!!!!
  4. Congtatulations!! March 11 here!
  5. I know this isn't your situation, I but after I had a c section with my 2nd baby... I definitely had numbness and still to this day (7 years later) have few spots that I can't really feel. I think the nerves can get damaged even with a laparoscopic surgery.
  6. Thanks everyone for the feedback! I will call my doctor in the morning!
  7. Okay so I have been a pretty loud snorer for a long time. Pretty much once I put on the lbs. Every now and then and I mean like maybe 2-4 times a year I would wake up gasping for air. I never had a sleep study done because we didn't have good insurance. Anyway... gastric sleeve surgery is March 11.. I did tell the doctor I snore but sort of omitted that I had times (not often mind you) of waking up gasping air. As of now it's been more than 6 or 7 months that it happened, maybe even longer. Do you think with being put under anesthesia that I should be concerned? Just looking for some insight. Thanks in advance!
  8. Okay sounds good! Sometimes the app doesn't work right!
  9. Hi Tracy! My name is Angie. I am having gastric sleeve surgery on March 11. My pre OP appointment is also March 5th! I am 37 and married and i have two kids as well! You are always welcome to message me!! I wish you the best of luck!!!!
  10. My surgery is March 11 and I am very nervous about the gas pain. Like you, I've read tons about it here in the forums. I mean my 2nd baby was an emergency c section and I survived that. How hard could this be? Lol.
  11. Congratulations on your surgery!!! Sorry to hear about those other troubles though. Keep us updated!!!
  12. I was very healthy and fit in my youth and teenage years. (Even though I thought I was fat) I got married at 22 and steadily gained weight. When I was 26 I was diagnosed with PCOS which makes gaining weight super easy. Then I had two kids within two years and it's just gotten worse. I have been in the 300's for more than 10 years. But come March 11 (surgery date!!!!) I get to change my life!!!!
  13. For me, besides the health issues, was not being able to fit on some of the rides at Disneyworld and universal Orlando. We took our kids ages 7 and 9 there in October and it was beyond frustrating and embarrassing not being able to go on everything with them. Plus the amount of walking that you do was almost unbearable for me. I have been obese their entire childhood so far... and that's all about to change!!! Good luck to you!
  14. That's what I'm afraid of too! My surgery is March 11. I hope you get feeling better!!
  15. I still have not gotten a call! I emailed the patient coordinator at my surgeons office earlier today and she apologized that I hadn't heard anything yet and that she was emailing the girl who schedules and her manager. That was at about 10am this morning... ugh.
  16. I know exactly how you feel!!!! I have been waiting over a week now to hear from the nurse to get a surgery date! Everything was approved by insurance on 1/28. Its kind of frustrating when another day goes by with no call. I hope you get your call soon!!!
  17. I agree with you! I think some of the people who are commenting maybe are forgetting what it was like in the very beginning. Just because we choose to have this surgery doesn't mean that we become instantly immune to all the things we craved before. You've got this!!!!! Just think of how amazing it will be to be healthier, have more energy etc.. all the reasons I'm sure you chose to have surgery in the first place!! I don't know you, but I believe in you!!!!
