  1. Thats really not too shabby! Some people, like me, lose slow. I've been on this roller coaster for 2 1/2 years only losing 92 pounds and its been a rough ride... although I wouldnt trade it for anything!
  2. Since my last fill, I've made very good friends with little plastic baggies! I save everything for the next day's meals! Yesterday's orange sounds pretty darn good!
  3. I've been at it for almost 2 and a half years so cut yourself some slack! I've had 14 fills and am at 8cc in a 10cc band. You are still in the healing phase. It will get better once you reach that level of restriction that works for you. Try not to worry, I use to feel just like you-a failure. I lose weight very slow, but I've come to realize that thats ok. Everyone is different and as long as we dont give up, we will make it!
  4. I think i'm going back to my doc next week cause I cant get down more than a few bites and it takes me alllllllll day to get down 12 oz of tea! I think I may be too tight...
  5. Aint that the truth!! Found out the hard way last night!
  6. Yeah they are a chew-able enzyme tablets that helps break down what ever is stuck. They take about 5 minutes to kick in. I get mine at Wal-Mart for about 5 bucks a bottle. They sell them at Walgreens too. In the Vitamin section.
  7. Papaya pills are a blessing if you do get stuck. I keep some with me always!
  8. True, it is a lap band 'no no', but I feel a treat is ok now and then... as long as it doesnt become a habit AGAIN. :sneaky:
  9. I hear ya on the boobs thing! OMG! Not only have I come from a DD to a C, but they are saggy baggy and downright nasty! :sneaky: If I bend over they practically hang down to my knees!!! ACK! If they get anymore deflated, I may be able to sling them over my shoulder when they get in the way! HA! Thank goodness for foam padded bras!!! :w00t:
  10. Ohhhhhhhhh... I feel your pain! I hairsprayed the top of my hair and went to use my hand to air dry it and discovered I have HUGE batwings! Heck, I could have slapped whoever was behind me! ACK! :w00t: My aunt asked what I was going to do about it and my answer is to never wear tank tops or clap over my head! :sneaky: I guess I'd rather have batwings than them all full and plump with fat. I guess it comes with the territory! Ha!
  11. I had popcorn at the theater last week and I am super tight. I didnt have any problems whatsoever. Of course it was drenched in the butter flavored oil... shhhhhhh... it was a treat! Of course everyone is different!
  12. I had .5 cc for my last fill for a total of 8.25 in a 10 cc band. Think he can take out about half? ...or would that even make any difference?
  13. I am in the same position. I'm going next week (it's a 4 hour drive to my surgeon) to have a little taken out because I cant seem to get more than 16 oz of liquids in and can only eat about an 1/8 of a cup of food. I'm finding myself eating pretzels and cheetos because it's easier. Not good! Plus I've been having acid pool up in my throat in the middle of the night. I've never had this problem before. All this started with my last fill 2 1/2 weeks ago. I'm thinking it was a bit much...
  14. Chew on 3 papaya tablets! It's a natural enzyme and it helps me every time! I feel relief within 5 minutes! You can get them at walmart or Walgreens in the vitamin section for about 5 bucks. Good luck!
  15. I've been banded for just about 2 1/2 years and for me it has been a very slow process. It has taken 14 fills to get to that elusive 'sweet spot'. Until you get there, you worry that you aren't doing it right or that it wont work for you... dont fear, when you get the restriction you need, IT WILL WORK! I am FINALLY at a point where I am only eating 1/4 cup of food at a time and am losing weight like gang busters! I've lost 12 pounds this month alone! Dont give up and most importantly, dont compare your loss to anyone else's! Some people lose very fast and some dont; like me!
  16. It's taken 2 1/2 years for me to reach the elusive 'sweet spot', so dont worry too soon. I was able to drink pretty good until this last fill. Enjoy while you can!
  17. Since my last fill 'gulping' is a thing of the past! I was a gulper! Now I have to sip very very tiny sips. Never seems to be enough! Even popsicles get stuck if I eat them too fast!
  18. It bugs me too when I get the third degree at restaurants! Makes me crazy, so I too, sometimes get water JUST so they will leave me alone! Not drinking during and after is really hard for me. I'm suppose to wait 1-2 HOURS after a meal, but dang it, i'm always SO thirsty! Since my last fill, I am really having a hard time getting much liquid in. I usually cheat and do 45 mins after eating. Shhhhhhhhh... :w00t:
  19. Same here. Since my last fill, I cant drink during or after meals or I puke it all up!
  20. AMEN BROTHER! ...and Bahahaha @ "No doubt someone will reply back and explain why everything I said is wrong - just ignore them."
  21. Cheetos are EVIL! :huh2: Since my last fill, it seems that is the only thing I CAN digest! Damn those Cheetos! I'm thinking of going in for a slight unfill next week, if things dont get better for me... I have to drive to another state, so I'm hoping they do...
  22. My doc's nurse just called and said to go on warm liquids for 2 days. She also said that my stomach might be irritated from all the gacking. If I dont feel much better by Friday, she wants me to schedule a visit to have some Fluid removed next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me that that's all it is. My doc is a 4 hour drive away, so I'm hoping this warm liquid thing will do it!
  23. I, too, live in New Mexico and havent had a hard time with spicy food or chile. Thank goodness!! I was worried I would! Cant live without my chile! :huh2:
