Ok, @MarvelGirl25, making these were NOT as easy as I thought they would be!!!

First, I more like painted the chocolate on vs dipped (way to messy...ended up eating and licking all the delicious drips, though lol) Also ended up holding a strawberry in each hand over and over for like 5 mins so it would dry enough to put in wax paper without the coating sliding off. And my cheap toothpicks kept breaking!!! Multiply that by 30 strawberries and that equals what felt like forever!!! I wonder what I was doing wrong...arg.

Lastly, all the cool luster dust colours were out of stock at my local store so I only picked up Pearl and Bronze, which doesn’t nearly come out as nice (can barely tell I put any on, honestly!!!)

Anyway, I am forbidding the family from eating them at the moment because I need the hard evidence of my blood, sweat and tears to exist a little longer.

I may try this again another day. Maybe.

Ah yes, if you paint the chocolate on it wont look as smooth vs dipping them. And after I dip them I place them immediately on the wax paper even wet. At first I thought the same as you, that the chocolate would come off on the back, but it doesn't.

But I agree with everything @Sophie7713 said! These look absolutely delicious and I love the nut topping you used! These would go quick in my house! Maybe next time I make them I can make you a tiny demo vid of how I dip them? :) Amazing job regardless!!!

Thank you, Marvel Girl! Inspiration plus! We just love bananas and they are a household staple, as is Chia + walnuts. Hubby just whipped this up over his lunch break utilizing roughly his chia pear chocolate pudding prep BUT much less arduous with cooking and other complex steps. Probably cannot wait until tomorrow BUT as a treat tonight!!!... after doing business taxes at my desk all day long. Here was his quick concoction for your banana Walnut Chia Pudding:

One ripe banana, 2 tsp. cinnamon, ½ tsp. vanilla, 1cup of almond milk (he's lactose intolerant), 6 tbsp. Chia seeds and ¼ cup walnuts. Add all ingredients in bullet blender until smooth. Whisk in Chia seeds. Mix. Chill and WA LA! Can't wait. Thanks, again. Hugs!

Also, sooo excited to see ms.sss take on your glittery chocolate dipped strawberries! It is my birthday Friday after all. Haha. :]

    omg omg omg.

you need to tell me EXACTLY how you made these please!! I am LOVING the metallic looking ones!!!!

I have become obsessed with chocolate covered strawberries! They are super easy to make!

I used Wilton candy melts for dipping the berries but for the gold ones I used butterscotch chocolate chips and for the dark ones I used semi sweet chocolate chips. I stick a toothpick in the berry, hold up the stems and dip. I then set them aside on wax paper to dry.

For the metallic ones I use this: https://bakell.com/collections/edible-tinker-dusts When the berries are dry, that's when I use a dry paint brush and "paint" on the tinker dust. The flowers and happy birthday were made with melted chocolate as well!

Would you share your recipe for the banana walnut chia pudding!?

Mix together the following, then leave overnight:

    • 1/2 of an overly ripe banana (mashed)
    • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
    • 1 drop of vanilla extract (optional)
    • 1/2 cup of fat free Fairlife milk or milk of your choice
    • 2 tablespoons of Chia seeds.
    • 1 tablespoon of walnuts (add when you're ready to eat)

Depending on the sweetness of your banana you might not need any sweetener. When I do though, I usually use 1 packet of stevia.

When I make it I usually start off with mashing 1/2 a banana in a bowl and then adding the ground cinnamon to the banana vs adding the cinnamon to the liquid because it gets clumpy. Hope this makes sense!

    Its BBQ season!

BBQ beef brisket (in the slow cooker for TEN HOURS, then finished off on the grill, which, btw, was inspired by that glorious slab of meat posted by @MarvelGirl25 a couple posts up...) + grilled garlic butter corn (a little burnt, oopsies) + a tub of cole slaw i got on sale at the grocery today (too lazy to make one from scratch)

...also toasted Buns for the fam (but sans bread for me) with some Gorgonzola for that touch of funk, lol. Anyone else a big fan of stinky cheeses??? I say the stinkier the better.

Omg this looks so freakin gooooooodddddd! Amazing job! I’ve been wanting to do some kind of shredded beef but I’ve been unsure about the flavor. Completely forgot about BBQ! Oh and I’m also drooling over the corn on the cob 🤤 it’s perfectly charred
