    Hair Loss

Yes, my friend said you lose the weight where you don't need to first! If only we could reconfigure where we are fat lol... I went to the dermatologist yesterday and he recommended 2 other vitamins that are supposedly better than biotin: Viviscal vitamin and Nutrafol....ordered them last night and now I an waiting to try them and see if they work, I am not as confident bald... Hair Loss

I had my sleeve surgery on 9/25/18 and I have lost a ridiculous amount of hair...my beautician, who doesn't know I had the surgery said it seems like my hair has suffered some kind of trauma...she said the change in my hair is extreme...sigh, we just cut off a bunch, which seems to make it seem a little more healthy, but it's very thin and it makes me super sad...I have been taking biotin before and after surgery, using rogaine now too....everything I read makes it seem temporary, but it doesn't seem temporary when you see the hair disappearing.... Protein shakes

I will look into that, if I recall the atkins one I tried had much less protein than premier...which I also do not love.... Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app

    Protein shakes

Premier protein makes some of those too and they were super sweet, which I typically lile... bad aftertaste... but maybe that would be better than the shakes, sigh.... Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app

  7. I started logging my food on my Fitbit, a long with my exercise and the fitbit actually breaks my food intake into carbs, fat, protein and my fat even now tends to be higher than I would have ever imagined....I would suggest trying that, if you have a fit bit so you can see the calories, fat, carb, protein intake...for me, it was all overwhelming, frustrating...I was feeling very defeated and looking at these things helped me to see some of what I was unknowingly doing wrong... Protein shakes

I haven't seen any coffee flavored ones? I will check ensure Max. I have seen people mix premier protein with espresso and ice...but I dont like the caffeine... Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app

    Protein shakes

I am 3 months post op, my weight loss has not been as much as my doctor would have a anticipated and she doesnt want me drinking shakes...but, they are a great source of protein...how far out from surgery are you? Do you still drink shakes? And which, aside from premier protein do you love most? Brand and flavor please...[emoji106] Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Okay so you and I are having a similar experience and I have to say I have been feeling super frustrated because I see people losing 40 pounds in a month and I am closer to 20 3 months out....but, I recently saw my nutritionist and she said I am drinking too much water (which I didnt even know was a possibility?) But she told me to me very strict about not xri king before or after eating for an hour....the other thing she mentioned was super important...I had been doing a keto diet pre-surgery and it was really helpful and working! But, with my new tummy, I can't stay eating the same level of fat....so, I need to watch calories, cut out that cheese I had been ingesting....I have been working out, eating healthy....taking my vitamins....but, I am taking what she said into consideration and trying my best to lower my fat, increase my protein and not drink before or after meals...and I lost 5 pounds since seeing her....but, and I know this is just supposed to be a tool and not a miracle...I have worked really hard to lose each and every pound...oh and I am going bald, not very happy about that...sigh... 12. I felt the same way and 3 months out I have lost a lot less than others have...They say we are lucky to not feel restricted, but a part of me was relying on those restrictions...sigh Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app
