  1. Thank you!! I know i did it for myself and my reasons of health etc. The ways you said to put it tho are perfect and seeing her Thursday so it will be perfect to use those lines!!! Defs feeling that if thats the case i was the friend that made her feel better about herself sort of thing - am also jumping the gun but just the few things said have me in self doubt because it isn't anyones story to tell haha
  2. Thank you DeeberLee, just found the post and you're right that i did this for myself and for a better self too!!! Just how to deal with someone else finding out from said person. it would ruin the friendship etc but end of the day it is my choice and lifestyle and i will be looking great after it Still not sure how to handle this friend if how she is feeling etc with the comments and reactions with/if others finding out
  3. So i recently under went WLS where i only told a hand full of people who have been friends for a while, and in the same friendship group. (plus my parents) I have a feeling that one of them is getting jealous of what's happening with changes. She saying that I'm looking great now and that i should stop (4 weeks out and 13kg lost not even close to GW (where the doctors want me is still 5kg more than where i want to be)) and I am beyond worried that she will tell someone as she said tonight on snapchat 'oh i don't know why you're keeping it hidden it is bound to come out' to which i asked how would it come out and there was no reply. She has mentioned before about how this is a short cut or that i have an advantage to being able to lose weight etc but at the same time i know that she is one to try the diets for a short period of time then stop - we were very alike with that sort of things and love for food but i was also more active than her and especially leading up to the banding. just also a few things here and there What would be the best way to deal with this - if there is any way i can deal with this If anyone has experienced this? also with people finding out how that was?? Greatly appreciated.
  4. I had mine done on the 14th of Dec and So far really appreciating this tool (I know it is like coming into week 4) For me i didn't have (or need) the other options and given a few other medical issues / history this was the best option for me. I have family friends who have had this and they stressed the importance to keep maintaining and listening to your body to not cheat the system!! I have had a few things where it has been a learning curve (like i drink way too fast and need to slow that down) and eating too fast too - i use my phone to time and i talk more when out between and listen - you learn so many tricks to make it seem more 'normal' because it is like teaching yourself again how to eat and drink If you have any questions feel free to reach out and best of luck for the op!
  5. Thanks Jazzy1125 - it definitely isn’t bad more like a 2/10 discomfort thing not sure if normal or was from what I’m eating 5 weeks on liquid etc wish my dietitian would reply tho haha
  6. Hi guys Newly into WLS this site has been of great help! ( I don't have any Lab Band / WLS friends to turn too) I have just moved onto pureed foods (and yet to have a fill) *Given the time of year I have reached out to my Dietitian a few days ago however have not had a reply so I am hoping for some advice. I am finding i am able to only eat between 5-10 teaspoons of food per day. Is this a normal amount being 3 weeks out? I am not interested in eating most the time but have been advised i should be putting something in? is this the case? Fluids are not filling me up (had Pho stock day before yesterday thinking it would be enough but it wasn't doing a thing) Also pains below the band (more like above the left hip below the port, what feels like digestion occurs an hour or so after eating / drinking if i lie down straight away. is this normal too? It doesn't feel like a blockage as i time my bites, and so so so conscious about how often I'm drinking (previous skull drinker so SUPER HARD not to do that!!!) Final question!!! How often does one find they are able to drink?? I am drinking one mouthful per minute but soooo hard not to drink quicker Sorry for the questions i was not able to find these answers in past things asked. TIA
