    Dermabond

Mine took 3 weeks to all come off, it was really hard to not pick it especially when the edges came up.

    HBP after VSG

a couple weeks post op I had issues with low blood pressure, if I took a hot shower without eating right before I would pass out in the shower. My surgeon said the same thing and I haven't had any issues like that since week 3.

    Post-op sleeve travel

I bagged all my food by serving size (especially if the serving size required it being weighed) and packed protein bars I knew I liked.

Sleeves Any regrets????why and why not????

I was sleeved 12/20/18 and I think the only regret (and I wouldn't really even call it a regret it's more of my mental relationship with food) was not being able to eat a lot of the foods I use to be able to. But that's my unhealthy relationship with foods and I only had that feeling shortly after I was sleeved and I haven't had it since. My mom also sleeved but hers was 11/19/18 and her and I have shared recipes back and forth to try and finding healthy good foods has helped a TON.

    Dumping syndrome with VSG?

From what I've heard it's pretty common. I've only had it once and that was actually yesterday. I had a "taco bowl" and had them put low fat sour cream in it but they messed up my order and did some kind of spicy thing on top but I had it delivered so I couldn't get it fixed so I ate it anyways and the spicy stuff gave it to me bad even though I tried to just take out the pieces that had touched the sauce.
  7. I've been there! I had friends over the night before my liquid diet and we ordered a ton of foods for plans to pig out and I couldn't even finish a slice of pizza. Congrats!

    Names for my new sleeve

My mom and I both had the sleeve and we refer to it as the pouch. OR I just called it a she. Like if I'm having a bad day (gas pains) I always say "oh she's mad today"

    Insomnia

Same, I either can't sleep at all or I fall asleep right away for an hour and then I wake up and can't get back to sleep

    Gallstones and Vitamin B12 problems

I was aware, they put me on Urisidol (I think I spelled that wrong) post-op to help prevent the stones.

Does the pain ever go away?

I get the pain still sometimes, it's usually if I eat or drink to fast. I just chew more and it helps a lot. Some days I won't have any at all but there are days (like yesterday) where I felt bloated and pain for hours but I had only 1/4 cup of food before it happened.

Baby Due a Month After Hubby's Surgery Date

He should be okay by the time you deliver. I was good 2 weeks post op physically and that's when I started puree foods and once I started those I felt 100000x better mentally. I found the hardest part so far has been that liquid diet.

    What to pack

Don't over pack! I brought super easy comfy clothing, slippers and my phone charger. I brought my laptop and never ended up using it because I was so tired the night after surgery and in the morning it was just me zooming around the surgery floor walking. I didn't use my slippers they gave me socks and I ended up doing that. Pack light and simple

    I Got The "Foamies" Today

Breads, toasted or untoasted it'll happen
  21. I was in one night, they were threatening me with two because the pain meds made me throw up and I couldn't keep anything down but once they took me off the pain meds I was able to keep stuff down and they sent me home. You're probably not going to be able to hold toddlers afterwords. I was put on a 10lb weight restriction. I was in a good amount of pain too.

    When does the pain stop?

I think it was 2-3 weeks and I slept in the recliner on the couch until week 3 because sleeping was really painful. For the first two weeks I walked with a pillow against my stomach to help.

Can you visually see your weight loss?

Just this week I could notice the difference but even then it was only in a specific outfit that I could tell. I was telling my coworkers that my stomach feels bigger then it was before which isn't true it's obviously smaller but it feels and looks bigger to me. It takes us twice as long to see it on ourselves then for other people to see it on us.

    Time off work

I'm a little more then 2 months post op. Work coming back the first week was hard because I was out of the groove of things and I went from basically being home for 4 weeks to standing 8 hours a day. I have issues squatting then standing up to fast (it makes me dizzy) but that's really it.
