You will do great. My favorite thing is my clothes getting so baggy.
Start weight was 238. Day of surgery was 221 and currently I'm 167. Goal is 135-140. Hell I'm just glad to be in the, as someone else put it in "1-derland". Been a long time since I had seen the 100s!Abbey M. reacted to this -

You are not alone. I've eaten plenty I wasn't suppose to but you have to just restart the next meal and make a better choice. I feel like occasional slips are going to happen. You're human. Don't be so hard on yourself. It's a learning process.

Are you sleeving or banding?
-
Still have mental cravings (bad habits) and weaknesses but I'm learning and trying to retrain my brain. I've had slip ups too. I just get back up and try and do better next time. Usually you can. I find that making better choices is easier when you don't have that ravenous feeling.

Good luck to you too! Had mine in July and have NO REGRETS!
Normal to be nervous...it is surgery. Just think when you wake up you won't be hungry anymore!!
That was big for me bc when I would diet I would get myself so hungry that I'd binge on whatever it was then feel bad. Now I never get hungry.
Good luck Monday!! Welcome to the club!!RiaR and Abbey M. reacted to this -
Yes!! I am just south of Houston!!
Had my sleeve in July. Doing good. Down 71!! How are you doing?

I live south of Houston. Had my sleeve done in July. My surgeon is Dr. Khoi Du with Surgical Specialist of Houston. He did an amazing job! Just wanted to put that out there for any future sleevers who are in this area and looking for a great surgeon.

Great job!! That's awesome!!
I hit what you called "onederland" (which I love that!)
I was so happy to be bk in the 1s. Keep working towards your goal! You are doing awesome!!! -
Gas pain was very uncomfortable. Just try to move around as much as you can. The more you do that the more the trapped air will disapate.

I had Constipation every three days. Never had it before. Someone told me about vital Protiens collagen Peptide. I put a scoop in my coffee. Not only does it have 18 g protien in it, good for skin and hair...I go the rr regularly now. I bought it at HeB in the healthy foods area.

No regrets!!! Best thing I did for myself. I had surgery July 23rd. Down 68 pounds.
Easy recovery for me too. Good luck to you! -

I wouldn't like hearing my co workers talk about me either but I agree with the weight change that happens so fast I think people do wonder. A lot of people have asked me how I've lost so much weight. I def have a sensitive conscience so I don't like to lie. I usually just say "I am eating less and working out". All true. But with that being said I've lost 67 pounds since July and some people may say "she has to have done something" (I haven't heard anyone say that about me but I wonder)bc of the amount in a short period of time. So I decided, for me, that I'd tell some people and just say I don't care what they think. Surgery was the right choice for me and I'm the only one that needs to be "ok" with it. So at the end of the day it's my body, my decision and people can either be ok with it or not but I don't care either way. Just stay focused on your goal.

I have the same fear. I fear that I'll stretch my pouch out and end up back where I started.
I had mine in July. I try to just listen to my body....I try and eat slow and don't drink a bunch while eating.
Hard to do I know. Everyday is a work in progress for me. Just keep staying positive.Kathy p and ProudGrammy reacted to this -

Cauliflower bread huh...doesn't sound very good but worth a try...I love bread and haven't had very much since surgery...couple bites here and there. My main weakness is candy....

That is really great advice. I'm terrified I'll not hit my goal and/or in a couple years be back at my original weight. Thank you😀

Good morning! I'm from Texas!
Had my sleeve done July 23rd .
Congrats on the 54lbs. My start weight was 238....pre surgery was 221 and I am 172 now. Still struggle with wanting certain foods. I don't eat but a bite or two of what ever it is but I'd like to not do that at all. Mental side is still challenging for me. How are you doing with the diet part(mental side)
T-2 days till surgery!
