  1. No I don’t drink any. I was not a big drinker before my surgery so it wasn’t hard not to drink any after. Plus what I liked before was a Coors Light and I don’t do any carbonation at all since my surgery. I don’t miss it. To me it’s an awesome trade off. I’ll take losing a whole human being off of me to occasionally having a alcoholic beverage.

It feels good when Mystery meat is History, when Fast food holds no appeal, and sweets are no treat. Then the New cocepts and New Habits can work for you and you find out this works and is quite doable. And then the rest of your life becomes the best of your life. I may even invest in a t-shirt that says just that!

    Except sweets....still a weakness I’m working on.

I’m doing the sleeve. Did you have the sleeve as well? Just finished packing my overnight bag and alarm set for 3 but I’m sure I won’t need it. They gave me this stuff I believe I’m supposed use to clean the area of the stomach

HI folks, I'm a little over 8 months out from my surgery and lately I feel as if I've failed. I've only lost 36 pounds since my surgery (just over 60 pounds from my heaviest weight last year) and my surgeon is concerned. Things I'm trying:

Drinking lots more Water -- I was stuck on 60 to 64 ounces for months but now I shoot for 80

Measuring, measuring, measuring -- I was just eyeballing before and after actually MEASURING what I was eating it was eye opening to say the least 😕

Eating like I just had surgery -- tiny bites, counting my chews, putting my fork/spoon down between bites and taking a long time to eat -- I've always been a speedy eater and it's been a hard habit to break

Adding a HIIT day to my workouts -- I lift 2 days a week and walk at least 45 minutes every day -- doctor wants me to do more cardio but I HATE cardio

Tracking every damn thing I put in my mouth -- even those Trader Joe's samples

Getting at least 90 grams of Protein daily

What piece of the puzzle am I missing? Any words of wisdom from you vets? I'm trying not to compare myself to some members' AMAZING weight loss progress, but it's hard not to get down about it.

60 pounds is great!!! Don’t discount that. It didn’t all come on in 8 mos so give it time to come back off. Now that you’re measuring, slowing down while eating etc maybe you will start to see more results in the scale. Meanwhile keep forging ahead. YOU CAN DO IT!😊👍🏻

My weight finally stabilized around 145 (original goal weight), so I went forward with surgery for a breast lift with implants (Dr. Ciaravino in Houston is amazing). I lost 72 lbs total after the sleeve but added approximately 1.5 lbs of implants (Mentor MemoryGel Smooth Round High Profile 350cc). I cry when I see these photos side by side. I got sleeved on 2/28/2018 and got these boobs 9 months later on 11/30/2018. What a year.

Wow! Congrats!! I’m 7 mos out and I will def need a lift and implants. I’m trying to wait until I get to my goal weight and keep it off for a year but my girls are SO SAD!! I’m not sure I can make it that long. Plus it’s very expensive and insurance won’t pay for cosmetic surgery. 😩

  6. It’s good to get away from coke type drinks...esp since they hold zero value to all of us on this journey. It’s ultimately up to you and what your surgeon and team recommended but I’ve gotten away from all carbonated products about two years before I had surgery and now I’m 7 mos post op and still haven’t had any and I don’t plan to. I know it’s hard. Good luck to you

Omg!! Thank you!! I have the worst sweet tooth that did NOT go away with sleeve surgery!! (Some people say they lose their sweet tooth after-I did not unfortunately)
They look so good!! Def going to try them! Hope they sell them down here in Texas!!

  8. Mostly just regular stool. Sometimes a little running but that is prob bc I may have tried to drink up my coffee too fast(I put a scoop in my coffee) as it’s unflavored. They make it in a Creamer now that comes in coconut and vanilla flavoring but I use the unflavored bc I can add it to anything to give me more protien. It has made a huge diff. Constipation after the sleeve was my biggest annoyance. Felt bloated, felt heavier on the scale and it just feels uncomfortable. Another friend who was sleeved told me about this and I am so thankful for it! Plus you get a serving of Protein. 2 scoops are 18 grams of protein,20 grams of collagen. Hope this info helps you. It really worked for me
