Kris77 replied to soontobefitmom628's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there. It WILL get better. I wasn’t hungry at all after surgery. I doubt you have actual hunger. It’s prob head hunger from old habits. Just remember why you did this. You will be a new you very soon and you have already taken the first step so that’s a step in the right direction! Keep focused. Stay hydrated. Small sips. You got this!! -

Curious... How long before you could eat your first piece of pizza?
Kris77 replied to FINFAN3DP's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey! No judgment here. I personally do not eat regular pizza. When I do eat pizza I eat cauliflower crust pizza. They make it so well now a days that you don’t feel like it’s not “real” pizza. Just a suggestion for satisfy that craving. I live in Texas and we have a grocery store called H‑E‑B. They sell a store brand cauliflower crust pizza that is to die for!! Also California brand is good too! -
Good luck to all of you on your WL journeys!! I was sleeved in July 2018. Best thing I ever did!! Life changer! Congrats!

I had the sleeve and I didn’t have a drain either. Don’t think it’s as common to have to have one placed.

No Insurance coverage for weight loss surgery.
Kris77 replied to Adermyer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If def wasn’t 80k! I can’t remember the number. You know how you pay this person this and other person that...I honestly don’t know. But I do know diff surgeon/diff places have diff fees. Maybe find the surgeon you feel will do the best job and talk to his office about what kind of discounts they offer for cash pay patients. I think most hospitals charge less to cash pay. -
No Insurance coverage for weight loss surgery.
Kris77 replied to Adermyer's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My insurance company didn’t cover weight loss surgery either. Had to self pay. Of course the next year they switched plans and it was under that plan but by then it was done. No regrets what so ever. Yes it costs but for me worth it to be healthier. Good luck to you in which ever way you decide to go. Sorry it’s not in your plan. -
I had a TT, breast lift and augmentation 4 weeks ago. Tummy tuck hurt on days 2,3,4 but after that is wasn’t so bad. Managed any pain there after w Tylenol. Breasts only felt sore-like you feel when you’re about to start your cycle. Everyone is diff but that was my exp. good luck to you!
